Hi I am a tech so i should be able to work this out but i am having trouble and just wondering if any one has had this problem.

I am working on a customers computer which wont browse the internet using Internet explorer 7 oulook express works fine.

Here are a few things hat i have tried.
Updated and did a full system scan with CA internet security removed 3 files infected with a trojen.
Downloaded and ran Spybot removed quite a few spyware programs.
Installed AVG and ran a full system scan found nothing.
All scans are finding the computer clean.
Trested internet again still not able to browes internet.
Can ping www.google.com
Nslookup www.google.com works
Tracert www.google.com works

Reset TCPIP settings by typing.
netsh int ip reset reset.log

Uninstalled CA internet security and disabled windows fire wall
Uninstalled Internet explorer 7
Installed mozilla firefox which could not browse the internet.

I am not having much luck with this system so any help would be good thanks.

Sounds more like network-configuration-related problem(s).
Also, hijack this logs would shed more light on your problems(s).

Also it is picking up a DHCP address from our server there are about 10 other computers on the network that work ok.

It looks clean. You never said what kind of internet connection you're dealing with. Is it direct (modem, cable modem, DSL, LAN...) or via proxy?

might be a leftover problem from SAV or something of the kind.

another problem I've encountered here similar to yours was a windows glitche, repaired by removing the user profile, and building it from scratch again - it seemed to have reset some internal setting and resolved the issue
