Well spotted Suspishio :P
Second post to be correct, but well observed :)
Oh i do love a gd BSOD in the evening...........

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

Yeah i would definatly consider uninstalling any driver realted software through the add/remove programs part of the control panel. Then instal the latest drivers for your ATi GFX card. To find which drivers they are go here: http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html

0x000000C2: BAD_POOL_CALLER
(Click to consult the online Win XP Resource Kit article.)
A kernel-mode process or driver incorrectly attempted to perform memory operations. Typically, a faulty driver or buggy software causes this.
This is from here: http://aumha.org/a/stop.htm
So read this article and see if it corresponds to what you are getting:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms796120.aspx
It also says to use the program 'Driver Verifier' , i know nothing about this program so Wikipedia or this article will help:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms792872.aspx

Hope that helps you.

2.29910111 × 10^39
Is that an alright format ?

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

No Worries, that's what we are here for!

For music files try a freeware program called Audacity. It's very good and is fairly fast at making audio, and changing audio to MP3 formats.

0x0000008E: KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

Is that the writing you get?

If it is that would point to as the article suggests a Hardware compatibility issue. Have you got the latest drivers for anything and everything that you have recently installed onto your machine. Such as Graphics cards drivers. Your amount of RAM does not seem to be the problem, but please to try booting with 1 stick at a time in each slot to see if a bad stick of RAM is causing your BSOD.

NO WWF used to be it's name (World Wrestling federation) but then the real WWF (World wildlife fund) sued them and one, so the WWF became the WWE (World wrestling enterprise?)

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

Surrey is near London and Hampshire.

I use to watch it when i was 10 or so, but now i don't like it nor hate it. It is all acting on that WWF/WWE thing. So MEH to it.

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

rofl. :D
yes, yes i will.

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

I would download the latest one, even though you have dial up it would be a one off downloading it, and then future updates dont take that long as long as you do it often. It's here if you forgot where to find it.

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

I try to spend it in an english shop, and fail

I put in a Saab

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

Has this helped?

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

Please check here
This will tell you what your error reprosents.

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

Have you removed the RAM sticks recently or changed any hardware at all?

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

Yep, dust clearing is always a good thing to do. Also if you suspect overheating, buy another fan to put in, just 1 will make all the difference. They are quite cheap to pick up from most computer stores, Maplins is a good place to start i believe. Or if you want to splash some cash, you could have a water-cooling system fitted, which will deffinatly put an end to any overheating issues.

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

What RAM do you have along with what Graphics card you use. As coolraj003 said, put ur specs on otherwise we are in the dark to your problem!

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

Thanks bumsfeld! Better late than never!

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

The best battery life i have seen quoted is 5 hours! But normally average battery life varies on age and make model of the laptop. Normally it is around 2/3 hours for an average battery life.

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

Thanks to one and all :)

Big woop to Daniweb!

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

Thank you!

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

rofl, nice find :D

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

I'd say mix 2000's tec with 1990's design (size wise) and that should be a perfect combo. A bit of everything. 1980's is a bit too old.

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

Have you had any viruses recently? A person came here with a similar problem and it turned out to be virus related. If so do some more scans of your computer.

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

yes i am ( :) )
good old britain lets you kill people with cars before they will let you destory your own organs! :D

As the title suggests it's my birthday today :)

I am now classed as an adult, hurah!

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

How many other computers are on this LAN? The more computers the slower everything goes.

Sulley's Boo commented: True :D .. n happy birthday :P +3
Serunson 413 Posting Maven

Just a side thought, do you run a LAN network? If you do, how many computers are on this network. Also what is your CPU Speed as well as the amount of RAM. This could also be caused by a slow CPU speed.

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

What resolution are you running it in at the moment? This may be the source of the problem. What can your monitor cope with (look at what resolution you use on your monitor for general use).

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

This is then pointing to a graphics card problem. I would suggest getting a new graphics card. Seeing as you dont get BSOD's it's not the graphics card at fault, it is the faact that it is not good enough to play the game. Did you test your computer against the link i posted in my previous post? How much RAM do you have?

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

Try reinstalling the games. That would be my first course of action after you have double checked that you can run the game:
http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest
If it says that you have passed the minimum specifications, then reinstall the game and when you have reinstalled it (patched it possibly) launch the game and set all the graphics to the "Low" setting.
If the problem pursists after that, post back here.

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

Possibly search through microsofts website, for drivers that could help you a lot. If you desperatly need it you would have to reinstall XP which is the last option to choose.

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

What you should do is revert back to the original drivers for your gfx card. These would have been supplied with the gfx card if you bought it and installed it yourself. Else remove the current drivers. Reboot your system, and then reinstall them. Reboot again. This should solve your problem.
Also Have you changed any hardware recently. Also do you run software called "Speedbit video accelerater" or another Speedbit product?

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

Rock on the orangey-ness

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

Are you getting any BSOD's (Blue Screens of Death)? If so consult this site:
http://aumha.org/a/stop.htm
If not, check that your computer can actually run the game by going here:
http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

Great Help link caperjack!

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

Please refer to this troubleshooting site that caperjack refered another person too.

http://aumha.org/a/stop.htm

This should help.

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

So this problem occured when you originally built the PC? That would point to something that you didn't do right. I am not a pro when talking about BIOS, but i think it something that you put on a CD or a floppy disk (:D) and instal manually. Although i am unsure.

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

90% of these sort of issues are RAM related, do as Suspishio suggested and boot the computer with 1 RAM stick in each slot, then the other stick in every slot, and see which stick or slot is causing the problem.

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

It quite possibly could be a start up issue with the BIOS. Also it could be a virus, spyware causing this havoc. What antivirus do you run?

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

oooooo
Strong views by such a little boy.....
Bennet not Cameron :P

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

lol

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

jmon, have you entered the part of the control panel entitled "administrative tools"?
If you have edited anyting in the Services program, this could be your problem. If you haven't which i am guessing the case is, the problem points to a hardware issue.

Serunson 413 Posting Maven

@ Suspishio
Overheating could have been the issue was what i meant, as the laptop could have had an overheating issue causing damage to the CPU/RAM which is now causing the problem.
