Have anyone tried NetBeans with nbpython plugin. I consider to try it as it has gone very far in development than when it started. I will download it when I connect to HS internet. But due to report at their mailing list, it is almost complete just fixing bugs!

I don't know about python but the trick of doing this is increasing the tempo of music. If the current module you are using can do that then that will be simple case

Running MSI packages needing admin rights in some windows (Don't remember if XP or vista) is little annoying for it doesn't give run as (Now I remember it is XP) you just run command line at admin level and then moving using commandline to file dir and run it.

I have installed Kate in my Ubuntu and I have pyscripter. Kate seems promising, but puscripter kept crashing that I decided not to use it (Latest). Waiting for Gribo's plugin. Is it Emacs plugin? I hear alot of programming geeks talking about Emacs vs Vim but from my point of view they are ugly and really seem to be commandlinesh!

I use Notepad++ when programming Python with Windows, and I use plain old gedit when I'm programming Python on Ubuntu.

how do activate to Gedit syntax highlighting and auto complete features?

If you're using linux, I would recommend kate, which has very nice features.

How do you get it? Is it On Repo (I use Ubuntu )?

In windows I use notepad++. I've tried that ecplise plugin (the name escapes me) and I liked that also.

In *nix, its always vim for me though.

BOA have got GUI builder. I wonder if you are using that to make your GUIs. If so I was advising to stop using drage and drop thing and do it fro scratch

Apart from Boa & WxDesigner (Which I have never tested) I don't know any other builder with D&D feature! Just as sneekula said

To Be honest this is matter of Choice and no one will be judged for his choice.
I got stuck on best editor to use. I have long used Wing IDE 101 and My Favorite IDE with multi language is Netbeans which is coming with Nbpython. Big problem of IDE is that You have too many features that the space for coding becomes very small. To be free, I need Programmer Editor (Specialized text editor).

I tried Vim, but seems hard, then went to Emacs, still hard to master like Vim. It seems they are commandline based and C/C++ default configured. I tried to Reboot and get my Ubuntu, there I was disappointed. Gedit have no Syntax highlighting nor indetation nor auto-complete thing. I have no Idea of what to do! Can anyone tell me what editor do you use and why. Also its features?

I'm sorry that you pass such situation. You know sometimes Computers become annoying, but another time you become angry? Shut it down and have rest and do the necessary later!

Here are some points that I feel can help:
If you created DVD (My Laptop came with no DVD but I have to create using wizard); I one you have is this then it have got option - - restore to factory state

If not There is recovery DisK (My HP laptop have got it) and all I do I reboot LT and press F11 (check for your Machine during boot up) and it will give you restoring to Industry option

If not SP1 already just Download it and Install (or use update Manager) for sometimes fixes the problems

If still persist tell us how exactly it behaves
Also I could have pointed Links to drivers If I knew type of Laptop

Sorry but be patient. I will suggest Re-installing OS be final action. Just try other options

I think BOA isn't for NewBie. I say this because text editor is best for learning actual coding. I'm talking about using IDE's Wxpython GUI builder. If you use it as Editor and and run directly scripts fine.

I will suggest building GUIs with your hand-on-keyboard programming instead of dag-and-drop building.

You can use any editor (so many there) for practicing, and when you start massive coding, then IDE is for you

I firmly believe that Windows should just abandon "UAC" and just require a password for every admin-run program.

I found then it isn't even detected. I tried on my friend Laptop XP no success! It just put on green light and shows that there is USB device (at bottom right corner), but nothing!

I guess someone can help on this!

I have recognized that recently my computer became unstable. This occured after Auto Update. My External HDD crashed and cannot be shown even in other Laptops and in my Ubuntu. This causes worries for my 70GB data in that disk. I have tried System restore but nope! nothing works (Sys restore haven't let me down before). Is there any tool to remove Updates. They have been headache instead of help! I will shut them up!

Having two OSes on your system will not slow it down in any way. They must be thinking of "virtualization" where you install software that emulates a second computer, running one as the host and a second as a client. Simply setting up a dual-boot system with two seperate operating systems will not slow down your system except for the few extra seconds it takes to select the operating system to boot from.

Emulating is running two things at same time but pure multiboot runs one in one!

which manufacturer of ethernet? Just check the manufacturer and Go to their site for drivers. It seems that installation did some injustice on Your ethernet drivers. Which OS are you using and your hardware?? I ask so because some systems store backup drivers somewhere like C:\SWSETUP

Hello guys, I have Laptop with Ubuntu/Vista Multiboot
I would like to connect to my office place Domain. Mind you that this is my personal Laptop and I cannot tell the Office Admin to configure it for me. I have to do it my self which is good practice. So how do I do it??

If HP, Drivers are somewhere in C:\SWSETUP if I remember well!
Make sure you find and backup your systeme before do anything. NOT too far from what others have said though

I was playing with wxpython Demo and wanted to go on playing with Rich Text.
I found this:

when I tried to make my own editor and call those two methods I get error.
Can some one help me to explain out those two methods and their uses?
