Do you have active directory access? If not I think Filezilla would be your best bet but you would need to enable FTP on the PC you want to access, which isn't ideal long term. Don't qoute me on that.

This could be any hardware problem. Can you be more specific? Did you drop is or damage it in some way prior to this happeing or have you upgraded any other hardware? What do you mean by resetting the hard drive? Did you format it and reinstall you OS?

I'm not an expert but I seriously wouldn't use a vacumm or a cloth. You need to use compressed air or a new clean paint brush. Using a vacumm could seriously damage your hardware and a cloth will only leave more lint and dust behind.
