I am sorry I do not completly understand, are you saying to look in the edocument for the code you listed? If so the code isn't there if you mean something else please pm me or post.

Okay I have searched the whole javascript and they do not use the var command at all they use javascript in a odd way just for images. If there is a way to overwrite it I would be happy and so would my boss.

tiger86 16 Posting Pro

I would try the css code @import aural all browsers recognize it except oldies like internet explorer 4

tiger86 16 Posting Pro

that is aural css which is not yet recognized by all browsers I will see if it is possible in regular css.

tiger86 16 Posting Pro

that sounds more like something you would have to do in flash with actionscript I do not think that is possible with html.

I have been working a lot lately with colors and websites and I have noticed certain colors turn people off. Don't use a black background with white text it strains the eyes, if someone uses orange for a background (which I strongly do not suggest) try to make the links readable remember about color blind people and that they need to see your site also try vischeck it is a good program.

my be this would(i have not tired it). Javascript code are written in <script></script> tags. So search these tags in the document by using: var sTag = document.getElementsByTagName("script"). This will give u an array of script tags. Now over write them by using sTag[0].innerHTML = "your javascript code";

If this work please let me know?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unix

read the 1990 section of unix it mentions how bsd uses unix it is quite fascinating!

http://www.linux.org/ Linux is a free Unix-type operating system originally created by Linus Torvalds with the assistance of developers around the world. Developed under the GNU General Public License , the source code for Linux is freely available to everyone. Click on the link below to find out more about the operating system that is causing a revolution in the world of computers

since that is from linux.org it is correct it does use unix I know more then you think because you really do not know me you are just on the other side of a computer responding without knowing what I do and don't know.

or you can just post on geocities a place to get an ad blocker if they noticed though they might freeze your account.

tiger86 16 Posting Pro

Are you on a large network shared by others? If this is the case it means someone or a lot of people are using up to much bandwidth. If you are not at work I would suggest to try a video in firefox maybe your pc does not like ie. I just noticed something you only have one gig of ram that may be the whole problem. Try shutting down some uneeded processes then try a video.

Sorry I did not explain it well enough. If you ever wanted to transfer your domain to somewhere else do not use windows live small business. The reason I posted that is because it says free so you sign up with your domain name to get a bunch of unexpected catches you were not expecting and it would never be able to do flash. Sorry I think I may have gone off topic a little.

tiger86 16 Posting Pro

I was assuming that he is sending this to clients or people that are expecting the email then they most likely would open it plus with virus scanners in email programs it is a little safer. I always scan a file after I download it even if the site already scanned it you can never be to safe.

tiger86 16 Posting Pro

I am not positive but if your server can hold that much data and you have that much disk space and you are allowed plenty of bandwidth I don't know why it would crash. I would not risk my server if I even thought I was going to crash it so do it at your own risk.

tiger86 16 Posting Pro

I would send it as an attachment that way they can open it without any email problems. In out look to attach it all you have to do is go up and hit insert- file attachment- then you find the file on your pc and then hit attach. I think that would be the easiest way to do what your trying to do.

tiger86 16 Posting Pro

Whatever you do don't use windows live small business! it is a nightmare on Web street! When you try to get out of the contract with them it is almost impossible you spend 40 minutes talking to people who have no clue what there saying you ask for there boss and you still never get your domain name back!

tiger86 16 Posting Pro

I used geocities for years but they do not allow enough bandwidth for your site. If you want a lot of bandwidth you have to spend some cash and host on someones server.

Dreamweaver really is the best because you have the power to hand code and use the programs functions. Sometimes i find it faster in dreamweaver if I want to make a table a certain size I just change it manually and it is faster then sizing it in Dreamweaver.

this code supposedly makes the transparent code that only works in ie work in Internet explorer, Firefox, and Opera. I have not tried it myself but found it online and thought others might like to try it out

<div style="display:block;  height:150px;  width:200px;  background:#00FFFF">
<div style="color:yellow;  height:100px;  width:150px;  background:#000099;  filter:alpha(opacity=50); -moz-opacity:0.5; opacity:0.5;  -khtml-opacity:0.5; font-size:1.3em;  padding:5px">

Okay here is a quote I got from a Website "On May 25, 2005, the popular BitTorrent website EliteTorrents.org was shut down by the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation and Immigration and Customs Enforcement. At first it was thought that a malicious hacker had gained control of the website, but it was soon discovered that the website had been taken over by the US government. Ten search warrants relating to members of the website were executed.[8] Up until today six admins of the EliteTorrents.org website pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit criminal copyright infringement and criminal copyright infringement of a pre-commercial release work"

It would be appreciated if you gave some of my reputation back since I was partially correct. that is not the only bit torrents to be shutdown by the way.

I know this may not fit your problem but when was the last time you defragmented? I had part of my boot sector get an error because I had not defragmented for a while. I was able to fix the boot sector problem with one of windows great tools. My computer was acting intermittent shutting down and rebooting if that does not help sorry.

tiger86 16 Posting Pro

It does use unix.

tiger86 16 Posting Pro

Boot into safe mode and do the restore.

As far as the the flashing it sounds like you might have a bad video drive installed and when something like "flash" is being called it is barfing.

Does it happen in all browsers?

FireFox? Opera?IE?

Techniner is right it could be your video driver or your video card going bad. You also have to put a few other things into account though, like is the refresh rate on the monitor refreshing to fast, when she is on the net is it a page with bad css which can result in the page to "flash" there are plenty of variables you may want to look into. I would suggest checking your screens refresh rate and installing the latest drivers for your video card.

Is free bsd a good linux choice? I want to install it but I want to get a few words on what people think of it first. I have been drawn to Linux ever since I started using a linux server and now I want to try an Linux Operating system.

tiger86 16 Posting Pro

Oh, Okay sorry I did not know that I thought the whole site had been made illegal. Thank you for clearing up that confusion.

tiger86 16 Posting Pro

Bittorrent is NOT ilegal in america. it has many legal uses like downloading large files which would otherwise cost the hoster loads in bandwidth e.g disk images of linux (which its legal to copy and share)

If I have to find a quote from the government I will but I know for a fact they made it illegal!

tiger86 16 Posting Pro

BIT torrent is illegal in the united states of america if you use it you are breaking the law.

You can go look other website of your similar niche and see how they are working with the colors. You can also find many templates online to choose from. But be natural, do not ever over do it.

Good luck :)

Good luck with your project, the only thing I can tell you is that there is such a thing called a Web safe Pallette which uses I believe 217 colors. If you use a Web safe pallette you willl not be able to use a lot of different colors but it will be viewable in all browsers.

My mcaffee wouldnt let me open the internet so I disabled it and ran with out virus scan for like a month until this stuff started happeneing. Then like last sunday or around then I just started getting a ton of popups upon opening the internet or limewire. The popups wouldnt let you close them unless I went into the task manager and hit end task. So I bought Norton and Installed it. I tried to run a scan but it just shuts down. Now I cant open any programs. I open the task manager and when I try to open stuff nothing appears no usage or anything. And I will get that second message that says its not a valid windows image. I tried to boot in safe mode but in the boot menu theres is no safe mode option. I am reall just lost right now. Any help would be great thanks.

I tried a system restore the other day to the furthest point I had …

have you tried lowering your firewall or customizing it? Oh I also just remembered something about Vista! if you have it as a secure network and you have selected wep you have to use wep-2 or wap for Vista.

I would not use Ewido I used to use it until someone I know had there anti spy ware and anti-virus and it tried to run a virus when they started it. I am not sure if it was a positve positive reaction with the 2 programs or if Ewido actually does contain a virus.

tiger86 16 Posting Pro

Try downloading avg anti virus 7.5 free and avg anti spyware free. AVG and Comondo are the two best free programs for protecting your pc.

Microsoft does not own the code you write simply because you used their tool to write it. You are under the wrong perception.

Thank you I will now start working on my project I did not want anyone to have the rights to it and wanted to make sure.

tiger86 16 Posting Pro

Okay lets say in theory someone built an Operating System with c++ from software they bought from a big company like Microsoft. Could Microsoft somehow claim ownership of the OS?

tiger86 16 Posting Pro

Okay I want to build a program but I do not want the program to be copyrighted by Microsoft or any other companies. If I use one of their programs then I assume they have control over it and how it is distributed. I read that no one owns c++ but companies sell software of c++ so how do I code without getting caught in the tangled copyright web?
