leased line circuits refer to dedicated TDM circuit switched services such as T1, T3 while packet switched includes frame relay, atm and mpls. the issues with selecting them have to do with budget, network design requirements and service availability. i wrote some article at ezinearticles.com that describes networking protocols http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Shaun_Hummel

extending your ethernet devices on a wireless network is often done with a wireless antenna allowing you to use the wireless router you already have however you would need to have wireless adapters installed on each desktop.

firewalls sometimes cause this issue, if you cant ping the desktop computer from your laptop and vice versa, turn off the firewall

a couple of problems could be causing this, either a virus changing your cmos settings or you modified the settings. you should run a virus scan and if that doesent fix the problem note the current settings and reset values to default.

no firewalls is a bad idea. do you have antivirus software. some malware viruses prevent browsers from working. malwarebytes.org has a good malware remover

if your wireless router is out of range you could buy an antenna and set it up between router and equipment.
