Hi
Am currently attaching 2 files, but am concerned with the javascript file, whereby I want to make the transition of the slideshow follow almost same as the flash one, anyone can help me?
Could not upload js files here so here's a link from which can download:
http://www.keepandshare.com/doc/2425411/example-zip-december-7-2010-10-31-am-3-5-meg?da=y
Also I did not start the jscript from scratch, was an example which I found on the net, and tried customize to use for my own project.
hmm not a bad idea at all, will try and see if I manage to get the needed files for the animation am on :D
Hello
Is it possible to download a javascript slideshow which is present on a webpage? In firefox I have addons to download flash swfs but could not find anything concerning javascript.
I need this as I need to develop a slideshow in javascript very quickly for a client (our js developer is long gone :P ) and am not familiar with js at all. So was thinking could get an existing js slideshow and from there just learn how they implemented it, and then do almost same for mine.
The js needed to be dev is same as on the website http://www.nationalgeographic.com (the main slideshow).
Hello
is there a free app/tweak which can enable me to replace my Xp tray clock with somewhat like Vista proposes?
see attachment
thanks great tool ;)
installed on maverick meerkat instead
Hello
I need to access a LAN computer via RDP, and need to know on which port that computer is listening. how can I proceed with this?
Also is there a generic freeware which can allow me to scan all pcs on my LAN and get me a list of all open ports on those pcs?
Hello
Just like we have some addons which enable us to download flash movies from webpages in firefox, is there a similar tool which can download javascript animations from webpages?
thanks guys, keeping this thread open just in case get some more apps as well :)
Try to scan the drive using scanddisk then perform a defragmentation on the drive, could be some bad sectors on the disk or too much fragmented
Hello
Is there other apps, apart from Wireshark, which can help view the LAN connections as a whole (e.g. a map), like which computers are connected, who is downloading/uploading etc?
Preferably apps to install on Windows...
Thats what I felt as well, that multithreading and/or multiprocessing should be able to cope with this, but was dismayed when it did not do so, may be the temp files issue coming in play here causing this...
So basically, if I have 2 different harddisk drives connected on same MB (which unfortunately I do not have), can I perform simultaneous installations, keeping in mind the 1 drive = 1 actuator concept?
Hmm sry but did not read all the comments posted, what did gerbil say to do in IE?
MSE is not Microsoft Security Essentials instead? Its not a browser for sure as far as I can tell, and also it was IE 8 to which you upgraded to, from IE7, so no worries I think there.
Does this happen as soon as u power on the computer or after a while? try to connect an external monitor to your laptop, if its the graphic card it too will have pixelated display, else problem is with your LCD I believe
Hello
So far I've tried to perform an installation of a program while trying to uninstall another (both prg are not related to one another), but the second action always crashed since I believe Windows does not allow this. But is there no way we can tweak Windows to be able to perform both actions at the same time, else whats the purpose of having dual processors etc if these things cannot be achieved?
I believe one processor could have handled the install operation while the other one, seeing that it is free, could handle the uninstall process. Opinions anyone...
Concerning the administrator account, I would suggest you to try create a new account from Control Panel -> User Accounts, and set the privileges to Computer administrator. Save that account and restart the pc, and when starts up, the new account should appear in the welcome screen. Login using that account and try do the steps you have been doing so far to see what you get when you try uninstall avg... also just in case, try to uninstall another program and see if it does so successfully, a program which you are not using currently that is.
Else try to start up in safe mode, and from there try uninstallation process. To enter safe mode, press and hold F8 key when powering on the computer. You will then get a black screen with a list to choose from, like Safe mode, Safe mode with networking, and many more options, just use arrow keys to highlight either Safe Mode or Safe Mode with networking, and press Enter to load. To exit safe mode afterwards, a restart is needed, and do not press F8 key afterwards
Follow this guide for safe mode: http://www.computerhope.com/issues/chsafe.htm
Also found a link for avg remover: http://www.avg.com/filedir/util/support/avgremover_en.exe
could be same as gerbil provided or a different one, never harms to give it a try if still having probs with avg :)
Another link to tackle admin problems: http://kb.iu.edu/data/arnd.html
Hi guys, seems gerbil provided a good support throughout ;)
I came across this help concerning admin accounts in XP, you could give it a try:
http://www.mydigitallife.info/2006/05/07/unhide-the-administrator-account-in-windows-xp/
Also, if still not abled to remove avg, there is a tool called Windows Installer Clean Up which can help hopefully, as I once used it to remove some adobe products which were not being uninstalled properly from my system. Install it and see if you get avg in the list, and click on it from the list and click on remove button to try uninstall
I would also recommend to download a tool like CCleaner or TuneUp Utilities, and scan + clean up the registry just in case...
thx for the explanation gerbil, am leaving the folder as it is on the drive, since I dnt want to take the risk of crashing the system :-)
ok thx...
ha! thx for the info, I was thinking about del it to make space
But why on my home pc it is not present?
try using FileFormatConverters, from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?familyid=941b3470-3ae9-4aee-8f43-c6bb74cd1466&displaylang=en
Well could be your system has crashed or problem with the hdisk. To be sure, try getting hold of a Linux LiveCD and make your system boot from that cd, if it loads ok then hdisk is ok, problem could be with your windows setup
Before uninstalling AVG, make sure to close the application if it is running, and do so from the taskbar, by right-clicking on the avg icon and selecting exit. Then perform the uninstall.
If still not able to remove, then I would suggest to proceed as follows:
1. Download and install unlocker tool
2. Exit AVG from taskbar then go to your Program Files/AVG folder, and delete folder from there
or
You can also right click on the avg folder itself, then select Unlocker, and in the popup window, select Delete from the drop-down list
3. If any file is being in used etc, unlocker will popup a window, asking whether to kill that file etc, kill the files and continue with deletion
Hello
Anyone can tell me the purpose of i386 folder which I found on my Drive C? I found this on my office PC running XP while at home there is no such folder :-/
It could be a problem with the javascript file/s in use or a missing css value somewhere, IE does have some issues concerning js/css files sometimes... try get some help from specialized Spry forums or read this: http://library.creativecow.net/articles/williams_richard/spry_menu_explained.php#SubMenu
or this: http://dotwebs.com/blog/index.php/2009/03/spry-menu-fix-for-ie/
use the above links, or can try from this link: http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2007/05/18/30-best-solutions-for-image-galleries-slideshows-lightboxes/ (just after the ajax gallery section)
or http://cssglobe.com/post/1614/4-uber-cool-css-techniques-for-links
or http://www.tobypitman.com/pure-css-sliding-image-gallery/
Well, difference between IE and FF is that IE's interpretation of the css file is sometimes not to perfection, I can say so coz I dev. most of my sites on FF, but when I view in IE, I know there will always be an unneeded space or pixel here and there, so in the end I just do it on FF, and leave as it is on IE, and no one complained so far, and if by chance anyone did, I told them to get FF installed instead as its interpretation of css files is way better than IE :P
To resize the page to fit window size, use percentage values instead of pixel values, like if your are using 800px, try to find its corresponding % value with the whole site, and use this value instead, this should do the trick, or can try some javascript codes as well which can do this, example:
<script language="JavaScript">
window.moveTo(0,0);
window.resizeTo(screen.availWidth, screen.availHeight);
</script>
Did a system restore and its back to normal, but still would like to know what caused this error...
Hello
Anyone knows how I can proceed to setup Firebird 2.5 on my Lucid Lynx? The command apt-get install firebird2.5-superserver is not able to locate the package... :-O
Hello
I tried running services.msc from Run and I ended with the window opened, but not displaying any service, with a popup error:
One or more ActiveX controls could not be displayed because either:
1) Your current scurity settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page or
2) You have blocked a publisehr of one of the controls
Anyone knows whats wrong with the ActiveX here? I only uninstalled MS Office 2010 trial version, no other changes made to programs... :(
The Microsoft favicon is only M unless I missed something on the page really...
thx, I also managed to get a tool which allows creation of portable apps from normal .exe files as well :)
Hello
Anyone knows what is the best size to use when creating a favicon so that it appears nice in both Firefox and IE tabs?
Ok, so no styles or addons being the cause of error here. Just to be on the safe side, I would have uninstalled and reinstall the browsers, deleting the folders from Program Files before reinstall to default settings once again
Pictures and videos are fine from websites
Could you be more specific on this point...what websites, what videos etc?
If its not page styles then must be an addon installed, like adblock, which is blocking the images...
yes they are csrss.exe checks, and the list is composed mostly of them
This is from someone who still do not have Office XP Pro desktop, and still love it! I wish that I could use it in Vista. Is there anything that can possibly be omitted when you install Office 2007, which can prevent a lot of memory using.
Hmm difficult to say thou, as I installed MS Office 2007 Enterprise Ed. with its default settings, and so far no problem concerning memory usage. Now may be different versions use different memory usage settings (correct me if am wrong here :) )
Well I use Office 2007 on Vista SP1 (no SP for Office thou) and it works like a charm, and not a memory hog as some mentioned here lol
But if possible, go for Office 2010 looks and feels better (well on Win7 I tested)
Well try to see if the previous Office is still present in your programs, as it may still be sharing registry etc. you'll need to clean the regitry to remove the files. Then try download the offline setup for Office? Btw is it office 2007 or 2010?
have you tried using only height: 80%?
Well never got any msg of this sort, but first, try remove any present Office installation from your Program Files folder, and if need be, clean your pc using CCleaner to remove any registry which may still be in use.
Setting up afterwards from the CD itself, no need to create a folder and copy setup files...
Also make sure u are using the correct setup file, as Windows comes with 32/64 bit...
Problem is not directly AOL it seems, but may be with your browser when it is trying to load all the stuff on the pages there, I do not have AOL, but may be there are some sort of flash images etc on those pages which are being cached by IE. Try to load the same page using Google Chrome and see if it does same thing to CPU usage.
Well depends on how you are building, usually if you are developping in adobe flash, then you will need to know actionscript as well as basic animations to start working on your site, else, try google up something like Creating flash websites, and you'll end up with specific tutorials, as well as some flash builders to help develop
