Once you have published the article, go to article manager, and make the page a featured one, this should do the trick. To make it featured, just click on the icon in the Featured column, on the same row of your article. You can also unset the default featured page, and change the orderings as required.

I believe for the images you need to make them available on the other machine as well, by saving them in the same path as on your local machine, else use a server to host the images and use that url instead to access them. Can you specify which tool you are using to make the chm file?

Hello, I've started getting this message on a XP computer whenever I logged in, and moreover it has began to restart by itself at some point in time:

WINDOWS CANNOT LOAD THE USER'S PROFILE BUT HAS LOGGED ON WITH THE DEFAULT PROFILE FOR THE SYSTEM DETAIL- THE SYSTEN CANNOT FIND THE PATH SPECIFIED.

Thus, when loaded, it does not have all my icons on the desktop, and some apps would not work properly, like I have IE8 but its IE7 being loaded, unless I do a manual restart then log in again, then it loads the desktop properly.

Can anyone tell me the source of this error and if any fix for this?

Windows cannot find the local profile and is logging you on with a temporary profile. Changes you make to this profile will be lost when you log off.

I would recommend to change from vista to windows 7, unless as recommended to do a recovery or system restore and it works out

I did go through the MS website before posting, and I do use the MediaCenter on my Windows 7 Ultimate at home, but if possible, to get a version for XP Pro would be very nice as well, and so far, apart from the Windows XP Media Center Edition download links from some forums (which I believe are not licensed at all), I did not see any other way to get that :(

why not use the other computer via RDP or other remote access to start your conversion? Do you want to use both PCs to convert only 1 single file at a time? If so then I guess it is almost impossible to do so, else you'll be wasting your processing power, and instead could get both PCs to be used to convert two files simultaneously, one on each machine...

Anyone knows how I can get and install MediaCenter on a Windows XP SP3 machine? I've seen some versions of the OS itself, like Windows XP Media Center Edition etc, but since I already have a licensed version of Windows, is it possible just to get the Media Center part and install it? I've tried tools like XBMC, but it seemed to be using much processing on the machine, slowing it down at times...

I've been trying for a long time with examples found from websites which I googled, but am unable to dynamically make the texts in an external file load in my flash movie clip. In fact, the text to display was usually added manually, but I want to make it dynamic so as to make it easier for changes (its acting as a promo banner)

In the attached file, the default text box to display the promos is found in the mcPromo movieclip, and in the timeline layers, is depicted by the Promo mask and Promo layers, with the latter having an actionscript code for the scrolling animation. Anyone can pls help me with this?

NOTE: the original fla was written by someone else, am only maintaining and trying to innovate it...

I believe when you scanned the document you saved as image (jpg, jpeg or png) format. unfortunately, thou I know about free tools like PDF Creator and PrimoPDF, I doubt whether they can merge separate docs into one, honestly I never tried with them, but I know with NitroPDF Professional or Acrobat Professional you can merge your scans into one single pdf doc. You can always give the two freeware I mentioned a try, else buy a copy of either Nitro Pro or Acrobat Pro...

Am currently working on a business card template, with size 3.5 inches and 2 inches, yet when am saving the psd as jpg or png, it is saving in pixels, and when I open the image to print, it prints the whole A4 paper. How can I get to print it as a real business card size?

Yep I configured this in my htaccess, however, as I had to create a directory "tv" in my root, it is instead going there from the browser instead of redirecting to the url. Anything wrong I've done? My folder mysite.com is in fact in a hierarchy like this on the server:

root->www->sites->mysite.com, while the tv folder is root->tv

I have another question on the redirection, the .htaccess is currently in my /www folder, however, am creating a new subdomain, tv.mysite.com, which must redirect again to my http://www.mynewsite.com/welcome, and the directory "tv" will be at the root of the server, how to go on with this redirection? same as before?

I need to add the following sample url, http://www.mysite.com/home to my .htaccess file to redirect it to the following url: http://www.mynewsite.com/welcome. I've seen that my htaccess uses RewriteCond, and tried a code like this:

I found a Microsoft command line tool called WMIC which can disable or enable the NIC.

1. Get a list of NICs and their index numbers with the command:

wmic nic get name, index

2. Find the index number of the device you wish to disable.

3. Using the index number the disable command is:

wmic path win32_networkadapter where index=7 call disable

The index numbers do not change unless you add or remove a device so you could put this in a batch file.

Anyone knows a freeware 3rd party tool which can help enable/disable the LAN connection on a PC, without using the usual Right click -> Disable method on the system tray icon in windows XP? I've been asked this question myself by an end-user, who uses the Right-click method to disable, but after a couple of disables per day, he has to restart the PC as there is packet flooding which occurs for the sent packets. The user is in fact testing an application with a remote database hosted on the office LAN, and at times need to check whether processes are still executed when the LAN connection is disable on his PC. Google did not return anything conclusive, unless I made the wrong search...:$

Hello, am currently thinking of moving from AVG Free to a licensed version of Norton Internet Security 2012, however, I still have a doubt:
Will I be able to use my license again if for example I formatted my Windows after some time, and the license, which will be a 1yr one, is yet to expire?

I believe a virus scan would be good in the first place, try norton or kaspersky (have high removal probability if it is a virus), else I would recommend to scan and clean the D using the built in options in Windows, else using a tool like TuneUp Utilities

jquery could be good, but I think flash is more appropriate here as your transitions would be in milliseconds, and flash rendering is more suited than jquery i think in this case
