Hi, I have bought a fan which is similar to the one shown in the attached image, however, there is no direction whatsoever on mine on how to place it. Is the best position to have the "open" end of the fan pointing inside the casing or fixed to the back panel of my casing?

I have a physical machine which is runnning XP SP3 with about 3GB RAM, however am also running vmware based virtual machines on it, 4 in total, with 512MB allocated to each. I want to use the pc to do movie conversions as well, but knowing that the convertors usually use memory extensively, can I instead install an OS on another virtual machine to run on the same physical machine for doing the conversion? Will it impact on the performance of the physical machine or on the amount of RAM which I will allocate to that specific vm?

Get a trial of VMWare Workstation 8, did that to try mine and worked perfectly. If you want a definite copy then buy VMWare

I think your friend need to add the jupiter website in a separate folder on the same host, then configure his .htaccess or other php files to make the website accessible as you have shown

There are other ways to produce a PDF file but I find it simplest to create the output in html first, make sure that it is all displaying correctly and then let HTML2PDF convert it. You need to ensure that the HTML is complete (e.g. every opening tag has a closing tag) but as long as you do that, it works pretty well.

I need to create a pdf doc which will look like the word doc attached, and have to use php to do so.
In the doc, the blue texts will need to be filled from data fetched from table User in mysql, and the Autofill part as well will be filled from another table, ADDRESS, which does contain a foreign key, IDMEMBER, to relate to the MEMBER table primary key. The table shown in the attached doc needs to be present as template, with the columns shown, along with the other texts.
I've also been given futher php classes to use (see members_....zip file)

Anyone can help me on how to proceed with this?

Am on Panda, and it did not block anything. I believe this comes from an udpate in windows itself, as before the updates it used to work, but I recently installed the updates and it stopped.

Usually, when I connected a usb pendrive or put a cd in my drive, I had the autorun/autoplay window which appeared, however now am not getting anything when using these devices. I did not change any registry settings as well. Anyone can tell me how to recover the autorun feature on my XP?

If it is only an upgrade, all your settings and files would be same as on Home Basic, however, I presume that you have a license for the Home Premium, as the one for HB will no longer be valid with the upgrade

Am current following my final year for a Masters degree, and need as part of the programme to submit a project next year.

Am however undecided on what to do so far, and would be grateful if some of you could suggest some possible specific titles related to these 2 fields:

1. Cloud computing/green computing (not related to security issues thou)
2. Mobile computing

Am not sure, like I said before, I had to go in depth with MatLab to do my own project (with the use of Hidden Markov Model toolbox + Voicebox), but I think on google I found something called WinDentify, which is for Windows logon, try to google it and see, but its not freeware. I know that Microsoft does provide Speech Recognition engine with Windows, where it can be used in apps like MS Word, but not suitable for your purpose.

I had worked on a similar project some years back, as far as I can tell (unless changes have happened), there were no ready-made projects as such, and I had to develop it from scratch using MatLab software. But I believe it is best you investigate and come up with your own software for this, of course you will need some prebuilt dlls or sdks as well if you want to integrate it with windows, mine was for a VB application

However, now from my IM client, after a file transfer was done, I get the option (as a link in the IM window), to either open the file, or open the folder where the file has been sent, but however, am unable to open either links when clicking on them. I believe the problem is from my Windows itself, any one can help me troubleshoot this?

I think I found the source of the problem, not the cause however, it is my Windows itself which is doing this, from my IM client, am unable to open its "downloads" folder from the link it shows in my chat window, am creating a new topic for this in the Windows section

Am currently facing a problem with my FF 6.0, whereby, if I want to save an image from any website, it does not pop-up the Save As dialog box, after I've clicked on Save Image As in the context menu. Same problem also if I click on Save Page As. Any one knows how to solve this problem?

I'm hosting a new website on a LAMP server, with my website folder, monsite.fr, found in the /var/www/ folder. I configured my virtualhost file like this:

I then configured my Windows host file, since am accessing the website from Windows instead on FireFox, and added the line:

192.xxx.x.xxx www.monsite.fr

Normally, then if I opened www.monsite.fr in my browser, it should point to the website, however, am getting an error: "500 Internal Server Error"

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

However, if I use:

http://192.xxx.x.xxx/monsite.fr/install

whereby using this link I can access the installation files, it does work, but

http://www.monsite.fr/install

gives me the server error mentioned above

Have you tried updating the sound driver recently? It could be a problem of driver compatibility, else as jingda mentioned, try another earpiece/speakers to see what it gives. In case of updates, try rollback to the previous version

I have Networx installed on my PC, and bizarrely enough, since this morning I can see from its traffic monitor that something/s is being downloaded, but I did not launch any specific downloads, and using Networx NetStat revealed very little info. I want to know where the downloads are coming from etc, how to monitor this in Windows? Any specific tool or option? I've looked for my updates as well, which are automatic, but I scheduled it to run every Friday

well finally the server admin told me that the IIS server got corrupted, thus the cause for the error to be shown, and moved the site to another machine for hosting, which solved the problem

<img src> is used for html as far as I know, in my case, it is part of my image that I want to act as an email link (see attached file)
