Looking at our site demographics, we have a pretty good Indian population, actually. The majority of our visitors are from the US, second most popular country is the UK, then Canada, then India, and then Australia.

A new feature at DaniWeb is the ability to use [tex] bbcode. I feel this is a necessary feature if our Computer Science forums are ever to succeed. However, I want to be able to include some links to tex tutorials in my formal announcement on this feature. Does anyone …

In IE, Go to the View menu and then Font Size, and keep it on the Medium setting. You can change font sizes in Firefox, as well, but it works a bit differently. Firefox font size control is also more powerful, in that it also affects fixed set fonts, such …

I hate to say it, but it was designed this way on purpose. Here's the thing ... When people use [code] tags, in order to get the scrollbar to work properly and to account for people with really long lines of code to not form unclean line breaks or worse, …

Are you referring to the dropdown that allowed you to Sort By Last Post, Sort By Replies, etc? If so, just click on the little heading within the top of the thread list to sort by that field.

This is very similar to the discussion that I started here: [url]http://www.daniweb.com/techtalkforums/thread44195.html[/url] :) So, I definitely agree that you need to know when it's too much.

I see you posted the same question in the Java forum asking for this in Java. Is this related to a school project of some kind? Is there some code you can show us that you've at least started or tried to do it yourself?

The younger crowd I've seen sticks to phpBB. Anyone who can afford it, or is doing anything serious, goes with vBulletin. IPB is out in the water right now during their transition from free to paid.

Is it necessary to add the plural form of keywords into an AdWords campaign? In other words, would I need to have keywords: widget, widgets, blue widget, blue widgets, red widget, red widgets, etc?

I believe that .htaccess files are unique to the Apache web server (although I may be mistaken). Apache is the httpd server of choice for Linux ... there is a Windows port as well, but most Windows servers use IIS. I'm not sure how to do redirection on IIS.

From what I understand, there are no features gained or lost using connect() vs pconnect(). The difference is strictly related to how the server manages its memory resources. With connect(), every request from Apache to MySQL needs to open a new connection (and if you have your web and database …

There's a new feature for Google AdWords ... You can essentially pick various demographics you wish to target, and the system will create a list of Google Network sites that are popular with that audience. The demographic information comes from comScore Media Metrix.
