In the past I have had problems with identical specification memory sticks manufactured by different firms. Whereas they check out flawlessly (by mem test) individually, when placed in the mobo in adjacent slots they would soon give me a BSOD. Since memory sticks have gone down considerably in cost over …

It certainly sounds like a temperature-related problem. Not that he needs my approval, but Suspishio seems to have put his finger on what you should do. I only repeat his advice in different words: 1. Clean out your computer's insides, especially the fan seated on your CPU. 2. Make sure …

Welcome to DaniWeb. Maybe here we'll be able to change you from agrophobic to agrophilic. That carries a much more positive outlook and on this site people tend to be pretty upbeat (that is, in addition to being really knowledgeable and helpful).

I would guess that you have a hardware glitch. Why not try using a borrowed network card from a friend and see if it has any effect on your connectivity. Faulty hardware could well be the reason for the blue screen.

Could it possibly be the battery? If you were able to get other PSUs to try out, maybe you can try charging up with another battery, that you know is good, in place of your present battery

Next time you re-boot, unplug your power supply for 20 seconds before starting up again. I can't explain why, but apparently some memory is retained so long as you are plugged in. Unplugging often helps the computer to "forget" some of the garbage that is giving trouble.

I'm trying a "long shot" suggestion which might not apply to your situation, but, here goes: I have found that by unplugging the coomputer and waiting for about 20 seconds before attempting to re-start, problems of problematic "residual memory" can be cured. It could be that you have been unplugging …
