A folder locked with folder lock can be unlocked without the password. You just need to rename the locked folder and the lock ceases to exist.

Sites like anonymizer can fetch you the restricted website from the server and display it to you.The server which blocks the site is fooled into thinking that you are viewing a page from anonymizer.

Unless the problem is with the battery in which case you can get it replaced; it is better to take your laptop to a repair shop.Laptops are really sensitive machines and it would be better if only professionals opened them up for repair.

Usually the computer beeps without booting when there is some problem with the RAM.But as far as I have understood from your description of things there is no reason for the RAM to get damaged.

If the problem is with the Hard Disc you may lose all our data, however if the disc is under warranty send it back and ask the manufacturer to retrieve your data for you.

My friend's PC when it is turned on first displays the mother board manufacturer's logo and then freezes. At first loud beeping could be heard then it stopped.I think the problem is with the RAM but is not sure about it.Does anybody know what must be causing the trouble?

Are you sure your anti viruses are up to date. There may be certain viruses and spy wares which prevent you from accessing certain websites. Some time back I got one which prevented my explorer from opening orkut.com but got rid of it with Avira.

It is either a problem with the caps lock key or the LED connected to the key.And maybe there is something wrong with your Laptop's battery if it keeps on blinking. And laptops are best serviced by pros unlike desktop PCs.

I think this problem can be solved by reinstalling your modem and verifying your network and fire wall settings. If not try reinstalling vista.
