Hi
I'll just plug it in another machine [if you have access to one] by slaving it and run the chckdsk that way. See if that works

sittas87 91 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

Hey there
It might be that the update did'nt update properly as it was suppose to. Try running another update or uninstall Vanbasco and install the initial version run the update and see if it works.

Hi
Can you go into safe mode? It might be a cause of a virus or even a hardware failure. If you can go into safe mode than see what event viewer has to say. Of you can get into safe mode than thats good news and we can take it from there.
upon reply give me the system specs like system model type
??

Hi
Did you debug you're site with IE 6? I too have experienced the same with IE 6 (blank page)
For some funky reason it still does'nt display the page right. Ill suggest that you work with the more recent Browsers ie FF3 and IE7.
On a final note if the debug is right when you work locally then this should'nt be the case when you're uploadded the site.
ALternatively look at the first page when constructing and see if there's something on the page setup that might be missing on the other five pages.
:-/

sittas87 91 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

My apologies for not making myself clear . Debug means to preview the site as you are busy constructing it. Meaning that you need to preview (debug) it in each browser that you're clients/ visitors are going to use to browse you're site. Im not firmiliar with MS's Office Publisher but Im sure theres a preview/play button. Run the preview/ play (or whatever its called in MS Office Publisher) with the different browsers to see it the preview display is the same. If the preview isnt the same on each of the browsers...well than you know that you need to adjust it on each browser in order for it to display properly.

Hi
It might very well be that you're HD is going bad. Try running a backup on another drive. Thats if you have another HD to do the test

sittas87 91 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

Hi
It might be a firewall thats preventing you from getting access to the net. disable you're windwos firefall and try again.I had a customer that had pc- cillin installed on his laptop and had experienced the same prob. I finally found out that it was the win_firewall and the pc- cillin running at the same time causing the prob.

sittas87 91 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

Hey There
Im not a master in the Developer and programming side but Ive got some experience though. Nevertheless Im sure you debugged it with FF therefor it runs fine with all pages in FF. However what i assume you didnt do is you didnt debug it with IE's versions (or atleast not all the pages)
You dont say witch program you used to develope/code you're site but I know with VB you must debug it with all the browsers. Or thats atleast how we do it. FF, IE and Opera mostly.

Hi
Try these two tools in its order.

1.download trend micro's DOS application here (2.1MB) and the two essential pattern files namely lptXXX and sspdaX_XX(X means latest versions)witch you can find at the same site

extract/install the DOS application and the files in a temp folder(all inthe same folder) in the root of local disk, now go into safe mode and run the DOS application

Glarys Utilities
2.Download Glarys Utlities http://glary-utilities.en.softonic.com/

sittas87 91 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

Works on you're Laptop? Then do a chkdsk when plugged in the laptop.

If its some sort of a grinding sound than it can be the fan on the CPU if you here the sound from that direction. Most likely the fan

sittas87 91 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

hi
Is the fan seated properly/ providing enough cooling cos clearly you're CPU is eighter not getting enough cooling or is going bad.

Hi
YOu can run a chkdsk on the drive. It might that theres just bad sectors. If you're comfortable with you're opening the HD from the MP than do so and install it in you'tr machine as slave. Then run a normal chkdsk on the slave and see if you can access it from you're pc. If you can then install it back in the MP and see if you can open it when plugged into you're tv.

Cheers
Good luck

sittas87 91 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

Hi Dude_
This applies only if you're sure theres nothing else that you've changed.
It can be because of the CPU fan thats not installed properly. You might wanna try to turn the fan around in order give cool air to the CPU.

sittas87 91 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

Hi Kakabo
The error accured within the Ntfs.sys. You need to run a chkdsk /f. please make sure that you make use of a bootable XP disk. Seeing that it works in other machines but doesnt wanna work at startup.
To determine if the disk is a boot up XP disk insert the disk into another machine where you know its working and boot from the disk in the other machine. iIf it doesnt recognize the the at bootup but it recognises it in windows then you know its not a bootup disk.
??

sittas87 91 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

Zephyr do a windows repair. Im almost certain it will solve you're prob.
??

sittas87 91 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

Hi
What happens when start with normal safe mode?
You should consider a repair install. id say theres a couple of corrupt files.

sittas87 91 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

Hey There
80 Degrees is far to high for standard CPU temperature. Apply some termal grease/ paste as 'starfireone' suggested and see if it makes any difference.

sittas87 91 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

A standard PC usually have two fans. One on the Processor [the one on you board]and one on top of you're Keyboard and mouse plug ins.

>>where are the other fans and those two other things?<<

I suppose you reffering to the CPU (Central Processing Unit) and the Heatsink when you say "two other things" . That you can locate at the bottom of you're fan, the CPU fan. Its the silver metal 'block' when removing the fan and the 'silver metal block' (Heatsink) you'll see the CPU? processor witch is a greenish sqaure. apply some grease on the square without removing it it fit everything neatly back into their place.

NOTE:If you're not comfortable with pc's then Ill highly reccomend that you take you're PC to the local techy.
Cheers

sittas87 91 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

Type msconfig in the run dialog box and go to the startup tab. here you can check and uncheck startup programs

Are you trying to add the new drive or replace it? If you are trying to add it, try swapping around the position of the drives (Where they plug in). If you are replacing the drive, try putting the old drive in as well and swap plugs around if it still will not work.

I dont think the HD is the prob. His PC keeps on freezing it started before he purchased the new drive he suspected the new drive was the prob but its still freezing.
So just a friendly note on that. :)

sittas87 91 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

Hi
First do the most obvious witch is go to you're BIOS and see if you can detect the HD in there. If you cant see it there than open you're pc case (If you're comfortable with the workings inside) and remove the data cables and reinstalling them properly. SATA(Serial ATA) Should be configured properly in the BIOS in order to work and should be enabled in the BIOS.

sittas87 91 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

Hey Novaman
If the game is installed on the C than the patch must also be installed on the C.

As for merging the two partitions you'll need a tool like Partition magic. But first you'll have to backup you're data before using the tool. The job will take much longer but its worthed seeing that you might loose you're data if you dont backup first. If you need some immediate space you might wanna try tools that came with windows like disk cleanup, DiskDefrag witch will give you some more space, however it wont merge the two partitions.

sittas87 91 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

what i told them to do in post 4, sort of ,.
I think there gone anyway after 9 days

Looks like it :(

sittas87 91 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

Proper airflow is req specially for overclocking, But in general I dont think thats possible. Unless you want to look at it in a more scientific way.
In a nutshell thats not most likely

sittas87 91 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

To be specific the model type does apply. But in most cases this will be the case.
Btw, no need to apologies we're all here to help ;)

sittas87 91 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

Hi AJ
If its a continuous Long beep than it can posibly be eighter the Keyboard, Power Supply or worst case scenario You're Mobo. Even though it doesnt sound like a keyboard issue seeing you cant even get a display, Ill recommend that you borrow a keyboard and a PSU (Power supply) from a buddy to run the test. Chenge them on e at a time

sittas87 91 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

Remove the NIC form you're PC case and type all info thats writen on the NIC here.

sittas87 91 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

HI
So evidently its not you're HD that was causing the pc to freeze. This looks like its a Hware problem. But try the following first.
OPen you're case and check if all fans are working. Apply some termal grease/paste to the back of you're CPU and bottom of you're Heat sink [section]
If it isnt overheating thats causing the problem than its certainly a Hware issue. Check that out first and well take from there
??
Good Luck

sittas87 91 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

Sure mark.

sittas87 91 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

You see thats what I was thinking of for a split second also before posting the previous post. But so I re-read you're first post to find that all fans does power up. Being so it doesnt mean that there is enough power on the system. Ill say before spending some serious money it wont hurt just to borrow a PSU of a buddy just to test it on you're mobo.

sittas87 91 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

I dont wanna be the bearer of bad new but I think that its the mobo to.

So cheers for now

sittas87 91 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

Ill recommend you getting you're mobo checked seeing that theres no luck in what I initially thougth was wrong. The card in the link you've posted will tell you if theres problems with the mobo.
Sorry I couldnt be of more help.
