lol yeah, I had a heck of alot of trouble assembling my personal machine the other day, no trouble assembling anybody elses but when it came to mine I had to pull the case frame apart just to put the cd drive in and had to take the psu out just to put the fan on the cpu and after all the trouble I went to, no display whatsoever, I got mega frustrated but it turned out that my video card wasn't inserted properly, I pushed it in maybe 3-5mm more and it worked :|, anyways, that happens.

Hey guys, what is the most bizarre computer problem you've ever had?

I just had one this morning where a fellow employee reported her computer gave her a disk boot error. I went and had a look, I figured there might be a floppy in the drive but there wasn't. The only hard drive and cd drive was plugged into the secondary IDE channel, to my knowledge this should never have worked. I simply plugged them into the primary one and it is now running fine, both my collegues said they hadn't touched it.

Weird huh?

The only way to change it is to reformat and re-install the os...

Ok, the company I work for require the vacancies datagrid located at http://www.goldenwest.org.au/vacancies.aspx to be printable. I have made a new project that shows all records in the datagrid and the datagrid takes up the whole page. What I want to do, is when it is printed, no rows are cut off and are instead pushed to the next page and also to have the header of the datagrid repeated on each page.

Seems simple enough... but I can't quite get it any ideas?

I've been here a while as you all know but I haven't really ever introduced myself...

I come from a small country town in Australia in the southern part of the Queensland State. I am very fortunate to have gained an IT traineeship specializing in software while I defer for UNI as this town doesn't have alot to offer... my main duties at work include programming and graphics design. I am engaged to a girl I love, we have been going out for over 8 months and yeah we're probably too young and yeah 8 months isn't long enough, but I know it's right. She has just gone away to Brisbane (Queensland capital city) for a ballet school for a week. In 8 months, this is the longest we have ever been apart. I just received the rest of my AWESOME machine today and will be assembling it tonight so I can finally feel some power at my fingertips :). Anyways I'm so tired I could sleep upside down.

Anything else you wanna know?

for most databases you can use a seed and have it increment by however much you want, what database program are you using?

don't think you should have downloaded that driver. Perhaps it was for a different model? Was there anything wrong with your keyboard previously?

Yes you can install xp even though the slave has it also. As far as partitioning goes you should be the one to decide. I mostly keep different things on my partitions e.g. one partition for games, another for apps, another for mp3's, one for movies etc. You need to decide how much each partition should be allocated. I would probably do the following:
a)Install new hdd as a slave
b)partition it
c)copy the needed data across from your 80gb
d) format the 80, partition as needed and re-install windows.

That's my opinion anyways :)

nah sorry... I should have explained. I have about 4 or 5 people adding articles to the site, the content is the body of the page, or the article. I want to store the amount of hits each article gets, the userID is the user name of the user who added the article... a typical artical would be like this:

The article goes here in html format

ok I want to make a hit counter, using a stored procedure I will be able to read and write to the table. The table includes columns:

'Hits' is the hit counter column... can someone give me some sample code for me to make a hit counter for this?

I am getting a friend to pick up the rest of my gear on Tuesday, and I am fully pumped. I just can't wait to play Knights of the Old Republic and some other games, having a huge lan party come up (huge for this town) and I am stoked. I am one of the elites and I used to be the elite lol, but I got soft and they caught up, I'd dare say they'd kick me around the block now because i haven't played a game for AGESSS. Just been programming, but you know you get stuck and it's frustrating *sigh*. Anyways, Have a good holiday buddy I gotta get me some grub.

Ok here is the issue. I am getting this error when making my sql statement:

The ultimate goal of this is so I can use this stored procedure to grab these values and use them in asp .net using sql parameters, this method has worked for me before... but I have never used the text data type. It is absolutely needed as the maximum nvarchar of 8000 is simply not enough for what I want it to do.

Define AI. If I were to say, emotion set us apart from AI, that would be bs since someone could just program AI to have emotion. The only thing I can really think of that would sprout a real argument is that we are spiritual beings and the mind and body are totally different entities. Anyway, just something to think about. :D
