I'd really like to but with any Microsoft Beta software it always fails the install on my PC. I have MCE which could be a problem but i dont know why? I have tried to install Office 12 and IE7 but neither worked. Anyone know why
I am designing a new site on a windows server and I need a forum. I I was thinking about using two servers (windows+unix)) but that isn't very economical for me. So basically I need a ASP forum that will meet the standards and looks of PHP forums such as IPB and Vbulletin. ASP forums seem less popular but most large company sites are now using ASP so they must have an ASP forum. Any suggestions will be very greatfully received.
In IE there is a small image in the top right hand corner which is often changed by the makers of the pc. Please could someone tell me how to change this image to my own. Thanks for your help in advanced.

Hi all, I was just interested in everyones opinions on this.
I have a relatively small forum with about 50 members. There have never been any times when I have had delete or edit a post or ban a member. The forum is pretty much dominated by 3 members who post the most and are very knowledgable about the subject of the forum. At the moment I run it on my own and have no problems with that. But it probably could be made more tidy. But that would only take me an hour at the moment. My main question is when is the right time to start having moderators? Thanks for your help.
I am thinking about turning email activation on my forum and personally I can't see a problem with it because people don't know that it is email activation until the last step. Because of this you are more likely to get more interested and honest people on your forum. And I really can't see why it is a problem for you because as I type there are 712 people on the forum!!! In paint shop pro- ctrl+alt+z =redo In IE- when entering an address if you type for example daniweb on it's own and the press ctrl+enter the www. and .com will go either side. I don't know whether this one has been done but windows key+e open email

It worked first time and has worked since. But I have another related problem. IE has a image put on by the supplier in the right hand corner and I would really like to change it. Does anyone have any ideas?
I'm in!!! I think it would be nice if someone could creat a good logo for all daniweb team members to put on. I would but I'm not the worlds best graphic designer. But i'm sure someone on here is very good. Please can you start posting your logos so we can all have one?
OK, I have done the first two things you recommended, but installing creative software can be extremely frustrating so I am not sure about doing that just yet. But I will check for problem on the soundcard in the control panel next time it happens. I will also call Symantecs, rather than email them, as emailing got me no response apart from an automatic one.
There must be an easier way to change from the secure version to the normal xp look one. I never new that the other one existed apart from when the pc goes into sleep or standby.... There has got to be an easier way to do it.
I one of those keyboards with button that open specific apps but they are ones I never use like messenger. Do be specific it is a Micorsoft optical desktop keyboard and it has button across the left hand side and on the top.
Does anyone know how to change what programs these buttons open?
I've noticed that when the exit windows and start windows sound is enabled ... the system takes a lot of time to boot or shutdown. You can disable these annoying sounds from your control panel -->Sounds and Audio Devices -> Sounds ... and make your system boot and shutdown faster.

Thats a great piece of software but if you get the laptop, that is all the thief wants not your files so he/she could just wipe your hard disk and install new stuff.
But for a price like that it is probably worth it. Does anyone know whether it is available in the UK?
You could try uploading your site to a free hosting space like yahoo geocities before you spend money on a hosting package and domain. Just so you can make sure it looks right first.
Keeping the widths and heights in one type (% or pixel) is very important and can really change the way your site looks, I am sure by changing this it will fix your problem.
