i have used Adsense on a blog and though I did not make much, I did learn some lessons like: 1. you need to drive relevant traffic to your site who will click! 2. you need to bring constant traffic to your site.
Your site has to be unique and with relevant content. Are there descriptions for each handbag? Are there any duplication in content or links (Google does not like this)? What about meta descriptions for each page with the handbags.
If your site is tagged with Google Analytics tags, then the results that will appear on your report are as accurate as you can get. GA is good to not include spiders and robots. Just remember that if you tagged your site with other tools, since there are no standards on analytics, each tool will give you different results.
Actually today, I was in a phone call with two Search firms, one SEO and the other does SEM. I asked everyone on the call if they used Buzz and we all said no. So if these are search professionals who are more likely to use Buzz, then I wonder who will.

Though I dont have any stats to share per se, as a digital analyst, I have reviewed so many website analytics and I can safely tell you that I hardly ever see book marking sites referring significant amount of traffic. The trend I have seen with bookmarking sites and analytics are: 1. There is a spike in traffic only on the day and perhaps few days after link is submitted. Otherwise, link referral dies off... 2. Unless someone else shares the link on their list or feed, potential power of book marking dies off. 3. Unless the link is for a very interesting site, it will die off...
Yes a program like you propose may be widely used by certain niche - like traveling students and new immigrants. However, from a business value, I do wonder how the creator of this program can capitalize on this product.
I am confused. I look through my web analytics report and still see that MSN Live is still referring traffic as well as Bing. So MSN have two search engines. Please explain. Thanks!

Guy, I agree with you. With this digital era, people expected and literally demanded free on the net. Depsite the fact that nothing in life is really free but most users dont realize that by signing up on a "free" site - they are relinquishing their privacy (look at Facebook). Thus, I personally would pay but the majority wont and that is why these sites just want volume rather than quality ( especially in the early stages of start ups when VCs are looking for "membership/reach volume"). Saying that, I remember the early days when you had to pay to obtain aol or some other sites. I think it was better that way since I knew my information wont come back and haunt me one day...

First of all, how old is your site? Second, do you have any external and inbound links. Third, does it have any content? Appearing on Google for new sites can take some time. Also, the more links - the more weight it will have in SERPs. You need content - the more the better.
