unless you can work complex trigonomic calculations that have to do with angle measurement and movement for lets say a game character in a 3d world, you wont be programming very interactive games.

what your asking for is a little complicated because then you would have to password protect the entire install of IE, your best bet would be alike a net nanny and just set it to block all site, and then you have a password and such that gets around the block.

check your motherboard manual for all the info on what pin number and type of memory will fit in your computer. you might find that the memory you have is just the wrong pin number, so its a matter of getting a new stick. or the stick could just be bad.

how can you expect to get C++ certified when you need help on every question, i dont mean to sound rude, but if you cant solve these problems by yourself you might need to take a class, it seems like you just coming here to get it all done by someone else. i think a class would deff help, and you would be able to do this alot more on your own.

Keep getting this eror message on starting up. Having acknowledged it the
machinbe goes on to load normally. Cleaning the registry doesn't seem to have helped.

your DSL uploads would actually be faster than Cable, DSL is same upload and download and Cable is huge download and slow upload. Satalite though hard to configure i believe is a slow upload time that is actually delayed about a second.

ok, maybe my question was misunderstood.. i got 2 standard ide slots , and i have 2 standard sata slots, i want my 2 cdrom drives ide 2, and i want my hard drive on ide 1 with my other cd-rom, i want to know if i can put a 2nd hard drive on a sata 1 slot, since they arnt being used... can i do that?

your question was answered, it was answerd by catweazle, you can only put a satadrive on a sata cable.

soak your drive in warm soapy water for up to 1 hour...j/k j/k dont do that unless you want a new drive. there are directions all over the net on what to do

i know this may not be the best solution, but you can try privacy master, its made by asystem and sold through webroot. the program itself is a very powerfull 128bit layerd encryption with absolutely no back doors because non were programmed into it, and the chances that anyone would crack the encryption within your lifetime is slim to nill.

your failing to see what you asked and as a result you dont see why he responded as such. you were asking for the administrator password on a computer that might not be yours, for all we know your not supposed to have access to that, and your just looking for a way around it. you could also be some little kid that just wants to get around a porn block that your parents put up, or trying to do somthing you shouldnt. Asking for a way around a password with no proof that you are the administrator or just forgot, or your not just trying to gain access to a computer thats not yours is not right.

it sounds like some settings got bounced out of place, and your going to have to dig through your display settings to figure it out.

i didnt think the quick launch ate up barely any memory at all because it was just an icon for programs that you wouldnt normaly put icons on your desktop for, so you dont have to double click.

and by tray icons are you refereing to the ones on the far right? icons displayed on the far right are in an active state of running, so yes they would eat up more memory.

If it is a BIOS password that we're talking about, you might be able to reset the BIOS by: unplugging the laptop's power cord, removing the laptop's main battery, opening the lappy, and removing the CMOS battery on the motherboard. Leave the CMOS battery out of the system for a while (in some instance, up to 30 minutes), and then put it all back together.

?? its not somthing you would search the registry for, you must have a running server, and then download and set up PHP, i say setup because PHP is not somthing that installed persay.

gortonsfi, write a CSS sheet for them, then using java have it first find the os of the computer and if OS == Apple/Macintosh then use CSS sheet so and so else OS == Windows use CSS sheet so and so. this will allow users on different platforms to view your site and get the most out of it that they can. i dont know enough java to give you the specifics, but im sure someone in the java section can more easily point you in the right direction.

before you try and help someone with PHP you should understand what it is for, and have an understanding of the PHP syntax. PHP is for serverside scripting unlike java wich is webside. PHP is used mainly for database accessing, storing of data and working with things that you cant normally work with in somthing static such as HTML. you could use PHP to store a list of usernames and passwords and the such.

check out the PHP code snipits, ive got a few in there that you could use to study. also www.w3schools.com is a good site to learn a thing or two from.

read that article, it will help you out greatly. also about no one being able to see it. you have to forward your IP to port :80 so that people can see it. also you need your real IP and not your IP on the network, there is a difference, and one last thing. you will need a program that will fix your IP every now and then because almost no one has a static IP anymore. so if you use your current IP, maybe in a day or so it will have changed so www.blahblahblah.com will no longer work.

you cant expect to learn anything that will in the long run make you money in under 2 months. Programming/Scripting/Markup-languages all take time to learn and are not easy at first. it takes a set of thinking where you can be able to attack a problem from all angles and not be affraid to fail. if you mess up doing somthing you cant be affraid to ask questions, and you cant be affraid to try somthing easier so that you can learn instead of just shooting to make the big things. Just take your time, do tutorials, read the smallest of the books you can find, getting huge books does nothing but put you to sleep, your going to want a small book that has lots of tutorials and gets right to the point with the info. If you look into a larger book, dont get a book thats how to do it, but more of a principals of programming book, books that will help you to understand what types of things go into a program, how to attack problems and where to start. books that give examples for real world problems, that relate to code.

Your very welcome. i always enjoy helping a community grow, especially one that i feel i can be a great part of.

i know a little about forum moderating, but none about admining. i play for a Counter-Strike/Day of Defeat/Doom 3 (coming soon)/Nascar Racing clan called KORT (knights of the round table www.kortclan.com) and there are tons of moderators and a few admins. There is more than one admin though so its less of a stress persay on the admins. but there is only one admin that knows how to do the behind the scenes coding (we use PHP forums) I personally dont think its a bad thing, you as an admin have done a great job with this place and keeping it up and running, and i think most will respect that you will post and help as you can, but also have to maintain the sites expenses and other things. Just remember not one person can hold a community together. At KORT we think of ourselves as a large family instead of a clan of gamers. and thats what helps us stay together, just remembering that not one person can do all the jobs, and that its ok for someone not to be as active as someone else because they have other things they need to tend to. I personally love this site and frequent it as much as possible, this has been one of my biggest learning experience and i find myself learning every day just reading what people have to say.
