Please acquaint yourself with the rules taking particular note of "do provide evidence of having done some work yourself if posting questions from school or work assignments" and then come back with the appropriate additional information such as what problems you are having with your code, and include that code, so people can help you.

I'm not quite sure how a forum-based support system would translate to video, if I'm being honest. Possibly parts of DaniWeb could work as video tutorials, such as SEO advuice for example, but then it would still have the problem of getting bums on seats for those videos which surely isn't much different (possibly harder) than getting bums on seats at DaniWeb itself.

Out of interest, how would programming tutorials work in video format? I'm assuming screen-based content with a narrator?

The short answer is yes, Michael.

The longer answer is that there are ways to minimise your online footprint, but if you are already out there and have been for a while it's probably too late for that. If you are worried about your email then don't use Gmail etc, investigate encrypted email services. If you are worried about tracking, then investigate VPNs that don't keep logs. If you are worried about social media, then stop using social media.

The Six Nations started as a 'Home Nations' tournament back in the 1880's with just the four home teams playing. France were added into the mix post war as it became the 'Five Nations' and Italy made up the numbers to where we are today much more recently in the year 2000.

Ireland is a unified team featuring Northern Ireland as well. Indeed, when the national anthems are played pre-match, Ireland has two different anthems played one after the other :-)

As for popularity here, I was born and bred in London. In the south of the country it's all Rugby Union (same game as played in the Six Nations) and I played for both my school and at county level. I now live further north, in Yorskhire, where the popular game is Rugby League (which is far less physical, no contested scrums, hardly any physical contact - I hate it.) I'm a Rugby Union man through and through... All that said, football is the national game in the UK and rugby takes very much a back seat.

Oh how I miss Alan (diafol) at times like this. Those times being when England beat Wales in the Six Nations rugby :-)

The answer is yes, DaniWeb has been under a spam attack (800 support scammers) for many weeks now. All the time I spend on DW has been devoted to banning these accounts (being set up at a rate of many dozens every hour) and deleting posts that get through. The same thing applies to all mods here.

I'm glad you hadn't noticed though, that means we are least keeping this shite away from the membership for the most part.

Dani has been trying various methods to thwart the scammers, but this is a rather devious and determined group it seems.

As James says, much of it can be attributed to Google changing the way that it prioritises searches for help. This has seen forums such as ours, and we are far from alone amongst forums that have seen traffic fall dramatically over the last couple of years, drop out of the top hits when people search for help. Dani has tried, and continues to try, to breathe new life into DaniWeb and find new ways to get the word out and people in.

Erm, it's pretty self-explanatory: your site was down when Google tried to review it I would imagine (or there's something preventing the Google spider from seeing where it needs to crawl.

The good thing about such error messages from Google is that they tend to be pretty descriptive and clear about what went wrong.

So to move forward, you need to let us know exactly where you are having difficulties with your code (and you should share your code with us so we can see where the problem is) and what you don't understand...

Of course you are, however it does appear a little disingenuous as rpoffitt says - it looks like you are just posting to collect content for your site.
