I'm not seeing a 'Silent Mode' in their documentation, can you provide more details on what you are refering to?

I'm not showing anything on the server end on why it wouldn't load for you, have you tried an alternate web browser? It sounds like you are missing a plugin.

What kind of USB wireless device do you have? You may be able to get it to work with the ndis wrapper.

While Dani's advice was kind of correct, this really only applies to a raid system (hardware -> software etc.). Basically what you are looking at here would probably be the way the applications use threading support, and what operating system you have installed to determine which is the best in …

Personally, I like my Treo 700n, but wouldn't have one if I didn't use it for business. Ohter than that, the pantech C300 is kinda cute for a girl phone (it's really small)

You might want to check your hosts file: c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\HOSTS This file can sometime contain invalid dns entries for websites.

Just thought I would throw in some additional information. The only intel chips that were true 64bit, were the itaniums (IA64), most of the newer processors are capable of 64bit computing but are not true 64 bit processors. If you want 'true' 64bit architecture though, go with the Sun SPARC …

Personally, I'm going to my RHCA, which is a set of some of the best performance based tests I've taken so far. Out of the list above I've only taken my CCNP and RHCE, neither of which were overly challenging but equally as important in my eyes.

Typically, the passwd keeps the UID's of users, if your using winbind however, it will probably be controlled by the domain controller, if you do a getent passwd do you see the users and their UID's? And did you restart the winbind daemon after making the changes?

I have a 100Mbit connection, so, I wouldn't do anything differently. Granted, this is only on my laptop/and/or/work pc at work, and my home PC still only gets about 20-22Mbit/s.

Today, google released a new service, which I believe will be the best one yet! They released their new service TISP (http://www.google.com/tisp/, which is a free wireless internet service. I think this has to be one of the greatest services/products ever created by google!

Chances are there is a folder on there that is hidden or something that you arn't seeing. Keep in mind that the NTFS parition will reserve space for the filesystem maintnance tools like page files etc, so if you have a 73GB Drive, expect to only use about 60GB once …

There is nothing unique about this distrobution, you can make live CD's with all the software you need, this is just another distro to add to the list of WAYTOOLONGTOMENTIONANDOVERCOMPLICATEDLISTOFPEOPLETHROWINGSOFTWARETOGETHER.

Just because it hasn't been mentioned, RH7 has reached it's EOL, there are already a few HUNDRED vulnerabilities for the software included with the distrobution, and I wouldn't recommend installing it on anything that will have internet access. If you want RHEL (RedHat Enterprise), use Whitebox, if you want the …

You should be able to do this from safe mode. If all else fails you could attempt to remove the video card driver from safe mode, which will force the resolution back down to 640x480.

Texas has been UNUSALLY cold this winter, we normally don't break freezing before the end of January, and this year, we hit freezing in November! We even had 2 days of Snow if that isn't freaky enough, I think it is the first time in 10 years we had snow …

Well, only kinda. The problem here is that Firefox 2 just came out, so a lot of the distrobutions don't have a package put together for it, where as opera, makes their own packages. OS's like gentoo already have it easily accessable though :)
