Upload speeds and download speeds are related to the internet connection. So when you connection is slow, so will be your download speed. Tell us what is your link speed? Example : 144 Mbit/s

Also try to ping to google.com or daniweb.com. Firefox takes up a lot of space but it usually works per normal on laptops. USB Modem speed is generally slower than having a router and a modem together. But i doubt he will reply since he has not come back for so long.

Hi Sariscos. The original poster have not come back and reply for a long time so we do not know how is his progress. What he mean is he can't find his DVD, i am not sure if he mean only one or all of his DVD can't be read and play. Can be a driver problem as well but till now we are not sure what he has done. MAybe he has already updated the driver and the problem still persists. But hey, nice to see you participate in this forum. See you around:)

From what i see, you have multiple problems. Try doing a scan first using the soft3ware caperjack suggested. Vista are known to have many errors, i need to know your computer model and other information.

Since you have been using it for a few years ago, i suggest it would be time to change a new television set. There are many reason that cause this problem. See this

1) Also make sure your firewall is turn off. Firewall can block blue tooth connection
2) Make sure other security software like anti virus are not the cause of problem, temporary disable the anti virus firewall if they have one
3) Make sure blue tooth card is install properly you can re-install it if you want.

Back to my first post, we need more information like why it cannot connect and what you are connecting to?

- Posters hardly come back to daniweb thus does not make any sense to celebrate their birthday every year when they don't even reply
- Posters using fake data of birth but pretty unlikely.
- Not on the top priority of dani to do list or she is too busy.

Got any beep sequence usually that will tell you what is your problem. Might be a virus problem, try doing a scan with malwarebytes.

Make sure you bluetooth sharing is on and what exactly happen. Can you connect to a mobile devices or a laptop? We need more information.

From what i heard, Mac does not intend to add a feature that defrag their hard drive. I am not sure why, but apple does not want to do so, so we have to rely on third party apps. I have heard of stella products but hardly use them. Basically for me, i don't think mac needed to be defrag unless your takes up a lot of space and run very slowly. Glad i could be of assistance of you stevenros.
