What blackcathacker said is true. What USB modem brand you are using? To use the USB modem, you need to download a software. Have you already downloaded it? Secondly, you do not need to use a data cable. You can just plug in the USB modem into your computers and use it. Why use a data cable?

The modem nearer to the windows does not neccassary make your connection faster.

Let's solve the windows problem first. For windows, i use Chrome and firefox. I clear the cache everytime, even reset the browser. Still does work. I have to refresh the page a few times then it will work. Javascript is enable.

I try it on other computers connecting to the same network, does not resolve it. Can this be the daniweb' server connection problem?

Ok, that's weird. I just refresh the page two times and the problem is solve. Before that i try it on my macbook and windows laptop and the problem still persists. What just happened?

I just found out today, that daniweb has changed. For example, the login windows. There use to be a small window opens when you click on login. But this time it directs you to the login and register page. Another problem is with the categories below the search button. It is not what it used to be. In the past, when you hover your mouse over Community Center, it will show you all the sub category within. Now it doesn't.

Can anyone explain this to me.

Open the computer case and check the power jack. Take your battery out and in again and Try reseating the ram chips.

1) Try connecting using an ethernet cable?
2) How old is your wireless adapter? Did you change a new one recently?
3) Can other laptops connect to the same network wirelessly?

Try these steps
1) Make sure no firewall is blocking the internet connection. Anti virus's firewall can cause the the problem?
2) Make sure your wifi switch is turn on

Fibre Optic would be my choice. Do you have a budget? Do you have a wireless antenna? Have you try VPN connection?

So is your problem solved?

Before trying to ssh to the machine, first see if you can ping it. If you can not ping it then the problem is not an ssh problem, but a routing problem.
If you can not reach the remote host you need to look at any of your routing tables, firewalls, or VLAN configurations on the router.

If you are using mac, use the network utility and try pinging. Search spotlight for the application. Although, i hardly doubt firewall will be the cause of problem. Mac built in firewall won't cause this problem and is most likely the doing of other firewall application. AV firewall can cause you unable to ssh. Intego have already known to cause such problem.

So you want to run older version of mac like Leopard or Jaguar? Not possible you can only upgrade its version. G4 applications are hardly in use now. Why do you still want to use that?

Try doing this first and download this
1) Reset your PSU

Seems like a motherboard. Use a spare motherboard from another laptop and see whether does your weird problem occur.

Can you log in and use your computer as usual?

1) Try doing a scan with malwarebytes
2) Type chkdsk in your command and see whether there is any problem with your Hard Dsik.

How about scanning it with malwarebytes and your Anti Virus software just to make sure it is not a virus. Do you have other accounts on your computer. If yes use other account and see whether you can rename the file. If that does not work you have to consult the person that send you the file.

Do you have permissions to rename it?

1) What is your OS?
2) have you try starting up in safe mode?
3) Try disabling offline files

Can you rename, move or copy other folders/files. If can that means this file you are having problem with can be a virus. Do a scan with malwarebytes and see how does it go.

What is with the negative rep on my post above. Most posters tend to forget about including all information in their post. I did read your first post and was double checking. If all other keys on your keyboard is having problem, it may seems your computer does not have the require power supply to power the computer. It can be an overheating issue too.

Did you add any new hardware components recently?

1) Open ip your computer case and see whether there are any damaged or faulty components. Especially the motherboard
2) Clear your heatsick to see if there are any dust in there.

Call up Mircosoft? Are there any other microsoft experts living near you. Maybe you can ask them to have a look at your problem. I have never encountered this problem before so can't offer much help. Sorry about that.

Anyone here experience some problem when using the Danweib IRC lately or in the past. I was chatting with someone when i was suddenly log out of it. I had to use another username to get it. The first thing i saw was both my first and second username. Why is this happening? It shows a message that says " Unable to log in. Username is already in use)." I was thinking WTH just happen. There was only 5 people in the IRC, how could someone have use my username.

The problem repeats again until i have to use a forth username to log in. But i was unable too. At the top of the page was " Connection failed (Max clones reached for your IP) ".

Anyone know why is this happening?

I think i know why you find it racist. Maybe there is two niger like what Crunchie said and you misintepreted the niger as black. So black state in Nigeria. Black typically refer to the nigerians that have black skin. Am i right?

If you work in a big international company, you will faced many major problems. Hackers can be a hell lot of problem so do network attacks. Most of the time, you just have to make sure the internet does not crash and check for any other suspicious big data packets you receive.
