We need more informatio like what is your computer model. How old is your computer? And what is your OS? When you start up your computer, you said you see completely nothing.

1) Is there any words like monitor going to display or others?
2) Are you sure your conputer is fully charge and is the power cord plug in properly. Take out the cover and check the parts to see whether any of them is not place properly or faulty and old parts. Did you remember the last time you did a scan, whether there was a virus on your laptop. If yes your antivirus software might not have remove the virus completely and it is still in your hard disk. It may be damaging it that is why this problem occur.

Your problem might be hardware related or a virus infection.

First nope. i have never install mac on windows but i have windows install on my mac, so i can dual boot anythime i want. Back to your problem, have you follow the instructions in the link carefully? There are two links, tell me which one you follow? What do you mean by you cannot boot. Have you try booting in safe mode?

Common problem but some cases need different solutions.You said it work fine with other network but not your network. So the problem is either with your network or your laptop network settings.

1) Reset your router
2) Can your neighbour laptops connect to your network by wireless.
3) Turn off your firewall and disable any security softwares that may block the internt connection
4) Try and reconnect again. This time at various location around your house. Try putting it near your modem and next far away see whether it can pick up any signal. A faint signal or a slow one is already a good sign.

So your problem now is this laptop cannot connect to your modem but using an ethernet cable it can. Can other laptops you use at home, connect to the same network via wireless?

Can it even connect to the network. I mean if can your laptop connect to your network but cannot go online as there is no internet access. There is a big difference here. Can connect to network but cannot access internet is different from cannot connect to network. If your laptop can connect to the netwok but there is no internet access, go to your wireless preference there and check whether the ip address shown there match your house network ip address.

If you previous have a mac you can install windows on it. Like what you said dual boot. Boot camp and parallel desktop are softwares that can help you dual boot but this case is for installing windows on mac not installing mac on windows. Mac has permission to allow windows installation on it but windows does not have. If you want to have mac on windows, i think i can suggest some solutions. What is your windows operating system? i need to know that.

You want to install Mac osx lion on a windows platform. What do you want to install on, a windows pc or windows laptop or others. i am getting confused by what you ask. What you are doing i am not sure whether it is consider legal because most case is windows install on mac platform.

As i have said wordpress is good but not the best. You can also google for other ways to set a new websites. Some of the web builders are weebly or wix. Wordpress is not truly the best but better than average. i see that you are using tumblr as well, that is quite a good blogging platform.

Good to hear that your problem is solved by reinstalling windows. But the problem is you still don't know what is causing it. The problem may come back maybe a few week or months later or in the future. You may never know. You can't just keep reinstalling your OS to solve the problem you have to try and find the root of the problem and end it there. So next time you have the same problem you will know what to do.

1324. Hi kraai. Sorry for the late response i was busy in other forums. Long time never see you in the networking forum. What happened?

Use another laptop and access the internet via the ethernet cable. This is to make sure the problem is not with your network but your laptop. Have you try reseting your router. At the back of it there is a reset button. Take a pen and hold down the button for 5 seconds.

1) I need more specific information.
2) How near are you to the modem and router when you find out you cannot access the internet?
3) Reset the modem and router and tell us what happen.
4) Make sure no security softwares are blocking the conenction, some anti virus have a built in feature that allow you to block internet access and internet connection. Made sure all these are turn off and disable your firewall again.
5) Does this problem happen all the time or only some time. And when it happen some time can you take note the day and time it happen. Sometimes when it is during the weekend many people are accessing the internet webpages and the internet may be a bit slow thus causing this problem.
6) You said that you tried
tried pinging yahoo.com and google.com, and was told that the host could not be found.
what do you mean by that. Do you mean webpage could not be found or error 404 or others.

Hi yoshidad, if you do not know this thread dates back to 2007 and the previous post was in February 2010, so i see no point in you posting. But thanks for contributing and providing solution as well. Just remember to take note of the date the thread was started next time.

The first website is incorrect. I access the website and although it show the right country i am in. It show the wrong location. The IP address is also wrong i double check with my IP tracker application and prove that the website is wrong, so i think you should trust the second website.
