Hi jacklegs, did you posted the same thread before on daniweb but got deleted. Because there was one time this year, a poster asking for help to recover his cache. And i replied to it but for don't know what reason the thread got deleted. Are you the poster before who posted the same thread here? i just want to confirm. Do not use my method, that is for deleting the cache so other people cannot see what you are doing. When you recover the cache, you might want to save it or back it up. From another forum on the net, it said that your blog went down. What do you mean by illegal activity on the web site.

See whether your keyboard has any problem. If you use another keyboard and that does not work, it maybe be the USb port problem is you are using a usb cable for your keyboard. Change port. Before you type in your password, make sure you click on the username before you type. Some Os require you to click on the username before you type and not type in the password box straight away. Your problem is the same as mine so hopefully, it will work.

According to your thread title, you question was is IE9 useless so far? You are asking for help for your browser, it is not even related to your thread title. Second thing, IE9 is not as good as you thing even though your OS is better, IE9 is also more prone to hackers and cookie jacking. I also agreed with Kraai, about you giving negative rep for wrong answers.

Have you try using another word version, something newer. Maybe the word version 2003 and 2007 is too old to support the file format.

So after creating the file, you log in to windows on your macbook, something like a dual boot. Then when you open the file in microsoft word, the font problem start to occur. Maybe your microsoft word version is too old, have you use newer version of microsoft word.

What do you mean by graphic alone, can you please tell me what did you do. Did you follow my steps correctly, the instructions i provided is to locate your browser cache files and delete them if you do not want other people to see it, not to view them. You said graphic, are you sure you click on the correct file, maybe you click on webpage previews instead of cache.db

What other applications are you running at that time when your IE9 start to become slow, if there are other applications, quit all of them and run IE9 only. See whether your browser is still slow, if yes. Try other browser to see whether when using the internet it is slow or not. If they are fast something is wrong with your IE9, you can either delete it or re download it.

When you press control alternate and delete, the task manager will open and you said you did not see the close, minimize and other buttons. Try clicking at the side of the task manager, the boundary around it or strech it like what skilly said. DOuble click on the white space you see

CAn you hear them when you use a ear piece if yes then the speaker is spoiled and needed to buy a new one. If you can not hear anything from the ear piece as well it might be a computer issue or the audio port. Make sure all your drivers are up to date, if they are not go and get the lastest updates. second thing make sure the audio port is working well. If yes then the problem is a computer one. Go to your control panel and selet sound and other devices ( Just look for yourself then ). Make sure all the setting there are normal and you can hear sound input and output. You can do a test by confirming this by going to youtube and watch any random video. Turn on the volume and see whether you can hear any sounds from the microphone area. Next do a virus scan to check it might not be a virus related issue.

So you use a mac app called scrivener and created a document and when your windows computer open it the font style change. Is that your problem? So your macbook and windows computers are seperated laptops not on the same laptop.

As lordt have suggested, i will recommend you Team Viewer. It is a great software. And make sure when you are connecting Lan it is secure with a password so other people cannot access and also make sure your firewall is not on. Firewall can block off the connection, disable it for the time being. See whether this helps.

You are saying when you use windows and open a mac word document file, the font is different. What is your microsoft word version. Are they the same in your windows computer and macbook. If not make them the same version maybe 2010 version. Go to your mac and create a word document and sent it to your windows, see if the font size will be different if you open the word document file. By the way what is your OS? Windows 7, vista or xp?

Guys next time please take note of the dates the thread was started before giving help to them. There is a poster not long ago maybe about two weeks ago posted the same problem. I have posted solutions to it but some random mod deleted the whole thread because a third poster spam the thread with crappy links. Ok, back to your problem. YOu can go and find your cache by first clicking on Macintosh HD, you can find it in finder or your desktop.

2) Click Users and select your account.
3) Click on Library.
4) Go and find your browser name and click it.
5) Find a file that say cache.db then open it if you have the software

If you do not have the software follow danarchy advice. The method i suggest only applies to certain browsers. Good luck and nice info Danarchy;)

What OS are you using. Windows or mac? You said other comouters cannot connect. Does the other computers have any software or options that may block the connection, what are you intending to do when you are connected. Sharing files or sharing screen, you can do that by using a software instead of connecting to a network you created. Something seems wrong with your server and not your other computers, did you configure the server to allow other computers to access it? If not that might explain why other computer cannot access the network. Firewall can also block the connections, have you try disabling it?

Sorry Majestics, there is no way to prevent the router from reset when you hold down the reset button. Are you using a linksy router is yes, the reset button is at the back of the router you can use a tape or something to cover it. Or you can take a box and put your modem inside and lock it with a number lock or a key lock. This way your friend can't touch your router without opening the lock.

This is somewhat off-topic (being about Facebook user's oversight instead of a scam), but anyhow, perhaps something to be aware of.

You want to install Mac osx lion on a windows platform. What do you want to install on, a windows pc or windows laptop or others. i am getting confused by what you ask. What you are doing i am not sure whether it is consider legal because most case is windows install on mac platform.
