You mean recover all the applications that were running before your laptop shutdown. Am i right? YOu can go and check recent items. There should also be a recent folders. In recent items, you will see the application you open and use recently. About recovery the data the application use, i am afraid i can't help you.

Last time I looked that was and always has been a 32bit CPU and I don't know where you got the AMD drivers bit from, I gave a link to the mobo manufacturers website.

Some have 32 bit only while other have 64bit and 32 bit.

Can you totally cannot post or it will take a longer time? Have you try using other internet network and see wheter you are facing the same problem. Could be due to daniweb servers or yourself. Change browser and see whether the problem persists?

I know of one friend who uses macks and i should be-able to borrow his,just remembered my nephew has a mac book ,i'll check and see if he has a disk i can borrow ,thanks for the info

YOu can only do what capperjack said if you browser settings are set to remember all history. In firefox or other browsers, some allow you to change the preference settings. Example firefox have settings that do not remember history or custom settings for history. Take note if you use private browsing, the browser cannot recover your history. And also do not use so many question mark in a single post.

Please take note that if you have any problem you can try searching the forum to check whether other previous poster have the same problem and follow the solutions. If not start a new thread. Never try to post in a dead and old thread. Thank you for your understanding.

Follow everyone advise first. Make sure it is not muted but i doubt it will be. Second make sure that is not the only problem you are facing. I have friends who use xp and upgrade to 7 but they experience not only sound problem but freezing and slow start up problem. Make sure your sound settings is reset to default, check other computer to confirm this. MAke sure sound input and output is on so you can hear sound without or with ear piece. Follow the two poster advise first.

Yup, the mac installation disk allow you to reset any password including the admin password. You can try and purchase one from any apple store or any computer shop. You can also borrow one from your friends if they have. Here are the steps you can change the password with the disk.

1) Insert the disk into your macnook and later restart it, when the mac boot up and you see the apple logo hold down the c button. ( Can be found at the apple guide book or apple support website )
2) After you will see a window, choose a language and click next.
3) When you enter ignore everything, go to utilities at the top and you will see reset admin password, click on that and reset your password. After that eject the disk and restart your macbook to see whether it works.

Second thing, if you get the disk lock it up. There was once when i got my macbook pro and my cousin came and stay over at my parent's house ( My house ). When i was out, he took the disk and reset my admin password. When i found out, i quickly change it back and lock up the disk. Better safe keep the disk. If you need any more helo just post. I have problems like this also but rarely, sometimes i can't even log in to daniweb, i have to wait for a while before i can log into daniweb. Is your problem something like this, when you click on post reply to thread, your browser automatically refresh itself but your post is not there. That is what my problem is like, when i want to post something, it will lag, nothing happens for a while suddenly my browser refresh itself and when i see my post is not there. I have to retype it and is very long. TO counter this i will always copy my post before replying to it.
