Maybe after you edit the file, it is no longer recognise thus the computer/ laptop won't allow it to be edit or save. In your case save the file. Maybe the file format is wrong have you try that before?

If you install windows on your macbook. Try option, command and delete. Option is just next to command on the macbook keyboard and delete is at the top right hand corner.

Yup, as i have said before there are many softwares for either face recognition or thumb print. Not two in one. The poster want both together, face recognition and thumb print scan to be able to log in to the computer. Currently, such products are not release to the public yet. Have to keep waiting...

Sometimes when backing or restoring a file, some files can be corrupted and went you backup to another laptop, you will find that you can't edit it. This only occur rarely. Many accounts can be admin but admin have limited permission also, root user is the highest ranking. It can edit and change the file permission so that even admin can't edit the file. I think i am confusing everybody. Which files on which computer are you having trouble with it. Which os, vista or winxp?

Yup, as what Rik had said it may be a virus problem. Safe your data into a external hard disk if after the virus scan fails. Then do a reformat. Have you download any apps or files from the interent recently. Some applications are harmful and cause your laptop to slow down, what is your CPU usage?

As jingda pointed out you probably need to make a new thread on this one since it has been so long since you posted. Some suggestion if you really wanna get this solved as well. As techsheaven pointed out to solve a networking problem much information is needed. You should provide a list of information rather than a once sentence reply of what you attempted. Some things you might include.

1. Operating System
2. Firewalls
3. Screenshots of network configuration and any errors you are recieving

And remember for any networking problem you want to be 100% sure that you have the physical layer working first!! All wired or wireless devices including the wires themselves must be proven to work or you will never see the network.

Try resetting your modem and router. You can do this by holding down the back button of your modem ( Only for linksys ). Try using your computer and access other network, if other network allow you to connect to internet something is wrong with your network or conputer. Make sure your firewall is not on to block internet connections and your wireless is working wel?. Can you access internet using an ethernet cable?

You make yourself admin by using another account that has admin ownership and make your account admin if not we have to try other methods. Currently, who has the rights to edit and save the 2-3 folders and files?

Reformat is usally the last option if taking the laptop to an expert does not cure teh problem, backup and reformat. Doing a virus scan has been repeated in this thread before.

If everyone was to do that, all dead thread will be revive. Posters facing the same problem have threads dating back to 2004 and 2003. Do you guys want to revive that as well. How much effort does it take to just start a new thread and post inside it.

I have seen many posts and thread that other posters repeately ask for the laptop model number while the original poster have already posted at the start.
