dont rule out that it might just be the place you are downloading content from (unless this happens everywhere). and the 268 doesnt mean that is how fast your downloads are going to be it is like bandwidth or similiar. my opinion is that adsl is crap and you should just get a better connection prob at least 768.

well to make your site better right off the bat the one thing you want on a site is content, i look at your site and it is a blank template. I would also loose the counter or get a less obscure one counters dont really look that professional. for the template it is alright, it is a freewebs one so it looks like it could work out for a gaming page. About animated logos i wouldnt do it unless you know how to do animation really well so i would practice doing stuff in flash before making one. If you are already good at that stuff then i would just say try to not go to over the top. Sometimes people will make a logo that has to much stuff going on and then they loose focus on the content. I think you should just go with a standard logo and just make a good one in phostoshop or something.

I think you can do it like that not 100% so i would double check with someone else. Because i had to change this from one that was booting 2000 and xp so it could be different for booting 2 versions of xp, also not sure about if you just say xp pro or spell out professional.

idk how you can do it w/o re-formatting but about the setup disk it shouldnt be a problem unless the requirements for ME which wouldnt be much (nothing compared to wat computers have in them today) .

well why do you need 2 drives with xp, is this like a sever or something, you can make the second drive the slave drive and that should only boot the first one, but you really dont need xp pro on both hd.

do those games have mouse sensitivity settings? i have never played them for the pc but in most games you can set the mouse sensitivity or smoothness. But those games should be nothing for a computer with those specs, you could run hl2 with full settings on that(mb with minimal lag), it could just be that these games are not well built, I know that previous swat games are not very good and are built on poor game engines. I am not sure how well the pc version of san andreas is put together but if a ps2 can run it then so can your comp. It is hard to tell since i am not a fan of either of these games they are both pretty terrible.

I have the same problem if i lock my computer for a long time like overnight or something, so i wouldnt worry it prob just has to sortof wake up. Mine hang is not as long as 40-60 seconds, if you lock your computer for a long time it might be because your memory was being used while the computer was locked so it might just be because now that the actual operating system is being used that there is a shift in wat the system memory is being prioritized to.

usually you dont use utilities to overclock(the utility would more likely benchmark your system), I dont know about overclocking processors but for graphicscards there is usually a switch that you can set. Also just for info overclocking is not always good if your computer cannot handle it you can ruin your processor and that of course would not be good. Upgrading to a better system is a better solution than overclocking. I have heard amd's come overclocked but not sure if that is true. Some computer companies do sell already overclocked processors, like alienware which overclocks to the extreme to see how far the can push their systems (they are extremely overpriced, and you could build a computer with the same exact parts prob for at least $500-$1000 less).

I had a similiar problem when trying to upgrade to xp pro. Are you upgrading or doing a clean install. If this your first time installing xp onto this machine you probably just reformat and try again. If this an upgrade then re-install the regular version upgrade all your drivers and try again (make sure to back up data in case similiar problem occurs). And as far as I know that is pretty much all you can do and hope that it turns out for the best, maybe someone with more computer knowledege will come along with a more definite solution.

these days $500 is sortof a small budget for a computer. You can get a pretty decent computer if you build it yourself but nothing that is really gonna last you that long. everything is constantly being upgraded so to buy a low-end machine now sortof makes you at a disadvantage because in a few years it will be out of date and still be able to use but most programs might not be made for machines nemore. programs and operating systems are moving closer and closer to being fully 64 bit(i am not certain but i think windows longhorn is gonna use some 64 bit applications) So just so you know you should spend wisely, it all really depends on wat you need the computer for, simple tasks this will be fine for years, for gaming this thing wont last against games already out, for pretty much any sortof development thing (ie programming, web design, 3d modelling) this machine probably wont do.

alright i just upgraded to cs2 and i want to know if there was a way to marque select a layer like in photoshop 9 you would just ctrl click on the layer but it doesnt seem to work in cs2 so how do i do that.

Umm i have one, it cant run linux like an ipod can(or i have heard but never seen), but u can load songs from linux(but i recommend u stick to the windows interface). And if i am wrong that it cant do it out of the box(i have some extra stuff i installed myself on it), then it is still better than an ipod so w/e.

i cant answer all your questions, but i can tell you dont by an ipod which btw is windows compatible, buy either a creative zen 20gb or dell dj 30gb, they are both cheaper than an ipod (creative $250, dell$230), they both have more battery life than an ipod(creative 36hrs, dell either 36 or 48hrs). also in my experience ipods have awful sound quality, and adding more songs is a hassle. also dont get a flash memory one because they are a waste of money they only hold around 150 songs at the most avg is like 60. the best mp3 player out there right now, contrary to common belief which is that ipod is god it isnt that great. the best value for an mp3 player is the 30gb dell dj for $230, it has 48hrs of battery life, is supporetd on windows and linux, it has a usb dock and cable, comes with slip case, and it has very good sound quality, it plays every format that an ipod can, so u dont have to convert all your mp3s for this, it also has a drag and drop feature it is a lot easier to put your songs onto this than with an ipod. In my experience ipods are very overrated and have poor sound quality. That is pretty much all I have to share about cool gizmos.

well neways i didnt get in cuz my math grades suck ass, i dont know i guess just becuz i didnt get all a's in b in preclac and geometry (which are skills i will really need in a high school comp sci course*sarcastic) that i can get into the course.
