My friend has a problem with his laptop:

It is a Compaq Presario, and it runs Windows XP.

It boots normally, but as it shows his desktop background, right before the log-in window comes up the blue screen appears.

"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
BAD_POOL_CALLER"

then it has the usual check hardware, etc. then

"STOP: 0x000000c2 (0x00000043,0xDF1FC000,0x00000000,0x00000000)
Beginning dump of physical memory
Physical memory dump complete
Contact your system administartion or technical support group for further assistance"

Then it reboots automatically.

He said it first started happening when he played counterstrike with his cousin. He had played before and it was completely OK, but his cousin's comp was really laggy. When they played on LAN his comp froze, so he shut it off. Then the blue screen started appearing.
