Re: Well, I suggest just reinstalling it on the VM, but you can make an image of your current Ubuntu install (using Norton Ghost or whatever). I'm not too saavy on this part of computing, so wait until someone else comes along, or Google this subject up.
Let's list pros and cons of each, comparing one to the other in the process. What do you like about VB6 over VB.NET, and vice versa? What do you find easy to do in one, that you have trouble with in the other?

Re: Windows can play games, Linux really can't (for the most part). There are free and open source alternatives to most of your Windows applications, and if you're dead set on a Windows application, you can use a nice Linux application called Wine to run it. As jbennet said, Linux isn't …

Re: Ubuntu is good for plug and play, it has a lot of commercial and open source applications in the repos. I've never used PHP, MySql, or Apache with it, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. I love Ubuntu. It's the closest you get to a more friendly Linux …

Ubuntu Linux 8.04 (Hardy Heron) Using VLC or Totem, playing a video file hangs my entire system. The audio still plays, and I can still use the mouse, but my keyboard does not work, and I can't kill X. This is annoying, seeing as I could play video files two …

Re: Why is this in the Linux category? And the hardware configuration one, no less. Are you asking about how to crack into a Windows Server 2003 system? I don't think you'll get your answer for that here.

Re: Why not just type [icode]2^3[/icode]? You still get 8. Maybe it's because you're using more complex functions, and as John A said, the range is large with bc, but the precision goes down. I've never had a problem with bc before in my life.
