Hello janeane_tho12n welcome to daniweb. We here are ready to help if you're ready to be helped :D
Well you can always delete history manually by going here:
X:\Documents and Settings\mis\Local Settings\History
where X is your system drive .. and ofcourse I'm talking about windows XP.
Test it and tell me too .. as I dont have graphical linux installed on my machine.
Open IE and click Help, About Internet Explorer and look at the Cipher Strength. It should be 128 bit. If the Cipher Strength is anything less then 128-bit, download and install the Internet Explorer High Encryption Pack.
Open IE, go to Tools, Internet Options, Advanced and scroll to bottom of list. The SSL and TLS options (all versions) should be checked.
Hello Sylvia... welcome to daniweb..
We all are here to help eachother ... everytime we help eachother, we learn something new ... so stay in touch.
Your graphics card seems to be out of order ... do you have a built in card or an external one ? If external, try replacing it with some other trusted one.
Kia ora Tui :D
Can you tell us about the application. Probably there's some compatibility issue of the application with windows xp.
I haven't encountered any problem like this ... if I delete history I select today and delete it. Can you explain your problem ?

Are you on a LAN? Disable LAN connection and then try again.
If you dont have any LAN then logon from another user account and see if its working fine.
See if your cd rom is properly detected ... if you want to install XP, then you'll have to have your cd rom as your primary boot device.
You're not booting from CD ROM. Boot from the cd rom... n try installing again.
If you go to a tutorial like here and expand the Software Development menu, try mousing down in the menu to Pascal & Delphi. I'm running Firefox in Linux and when I do that the menu collapses.
The menu seems to work fine for me too if I use firefox 1.5 in windows XP..
Do you remember your administrator password ??
If yes then when you get to your login screen (I assume you're using windows xp) press ctrl-alt-del twice and the screen will switch to classic .. now you can type in administrator as username and the password for administrator.
This is an introductions only forum ... kindly post your question in some appropriate forum.
Anywayz, let me tell you here .... if you're using web based email and internet explorer then the pictures are saved in temporary internet files.
I use Skype here in Pakistan ...
Oops ... Am I counted here ... no ?? then count me from now on :D.
Actually I saw this thread a little late.
No one is denying her the option to stay on. We all think she should. It was her decision to step down and we're all here petitioning her not to leave us.
Dani there is one hidden fellow who doesn't want Narue to stay .... take a look at his post :
I don't care . . . let her go do whatever it is she wants to do.
As long as dani's here I'm happy :-) (this was the hidden part) :D:eek: :p
Run services.msc and see if system restore service is running or not...
Right click My Computer -- go to manage -- device manager and see if your ethernet card has been disabled or not ... or is there an ethernet card in device manager ?
You can have your desktop again by clicking new task in task manager and typing explorer in it and then clicking ok. Then you can backup your system and reinstall XP. Tell us if this doesn't work.
Since this is not a tip or tweak so I'm moving this thread to Windows 2000/XP section.

Windows will automatically detect and install your mouse driver..
Probably you have a corrupted mouse driver .. so you should uninstall the driver and restart your computer to install it again when windows finds the new device.
Yes ... daniweb had become readonly in this period :D
nLite is a very nice software to make automated bootable windows installations ... I made mine which is fully automated ... it installs windows with all the updates and some other useful software without interaction. It'll be nice if you people post some other utilities like this one. I had tested another one but unfortunately I forgot its name.
As this is not a tip or tweak, so I'm moving the thread to windows 2000, xp section.
