mmm,
Have you tried a System Restore back to a point where the machine worked fine?
It may have been suggested before, but is still a good idea to try it if you haven't already.
Are other computers/laptops able to connect through the ethernet cable to the router? This could be a bad connector issue, or for some reason the signal is not coming through.
Also Terabyte hard-drives are still very fragile things, and corrupt very easily because it is still very new technology. So i would go against Tb HDD's. Instead have two 500Gb HDD, because it will cost less and be more efficient. And totally agreeing with scru, you don't need that much RAM unless you are running servers!
mmm May be a connector issue possibly. Are all the connectors for the monitor free of dust and debris?
What computer is it by the way?
Also a lot of people use "qwerty" as their password for Wireless Networks and computers! My neighbour has a totally un-protected wireless network! They are asking to be hacked! :P
You get a boiling mom
I put in a packet of crisps
That's a bit silly plugging speakers into the Mic Jack!
lol
Well said! System Restore is everyone's friend.
You might have the Power Save feature activated in control panel which turns off your monitor to safe energy. This can be turned off by doing the following:
Control Panel -> Power Options -> Set the "Turn Off Monitor" Drop down box, to Never.
Click Apply then OK to save the changes.
lol
Everyone does :D
Woah that's your whole life story there :P
Welcome vanguns! :) Looks like you will fit in just fine.
btw, I do Physics at college (as in UK college not USA version)!
You get to clone him!
I put in a cryogenic freezer.
Are you able to boot into Safe Mode? Pressing F8 repeatedly at startup.
I don't think pen pressure is compatible with art/graphics software such as Paintshop Pro and Photoshop. I also have a Graphics Tablet, with a pen pressure function, and it doesn't work with Paintshop Pro, which is what i use. One program which i know of that comes close to fix this issue, but not fully i might add, is the freeware program called "The Gimp". It can be downloaded from here
This isn't a fix for the issue, it's a way that nearly gets pen pressure reception.
Well you will Definitely need a Wireless Router. The best make is Linksys, yet is the most expensive, while there are other companies out there, such as Netgear, D-Link and Belkin. Belkin aren't as good as the others but are cheaper.
Then you will Need a Wireless Adapter for any computer which is not already wireless. I would recommend getting Type G Wireless Equipment, seeing as you can then use any USB adapter with G equipment.
Software for the various items usually comes with the product, it can also be downloaded from the producers if required.
Setting up a wireless network can be done with the Windows tools pre-installed, they are simple to follow using the Wizards.
Also to make you network, use the software provided by the router manufacturer, to use WPA security. Also set this up on windows. WEP security is basic and shouldn't be used.
Any other questions, please post back.
I think i just explained that mate :P
9= 1001
You get to put it back in the wild
I put in some silly putty.
My Zen Rules the MP3 world! :D
Go Creative!
Any ATi or Nvidia card with 512Mb of V-RAM would suffice. I personally would go with ATi, just because i know the software and hardware better. Nvidia cards though are slightly better for gaming i believe, They are all quite even really!
Right:
The next number to the left is double the previous number. So the pattern goes like this:
0 - 0 - 0 - 0 - 0 - 0 - 0
64 32 16 -8 - 4 - 2 - 1
and so on from 64 -> 128 -> 256 etc.
Remember the number to the left is double the previous one.
Networks can be used to join computers together.
uniquestar, Bennet has no concept of Humour :D
He spends his days working with his buddy Tux.....
Oh btw The Dude, your suggestion worked about a system restore. Moose says thanks to ya, i'm his mate so i am thanking you on his behalf. :)
Yeah but you can also get expensive 700W ones, which do the job and last. Mine is a 570W one and works like a dream :)
yes u are wrong :P
6 = 00000110
7 = 00000111
What Operating System are you running? It looks like Vista, but that's an old MS Word icon so i am guessing 2000? Please tell us your OS!
edit: On my PC XP, there is nothing matching that in the system32 Windows file. It could quite easily be a virus/spyware causing this error. What Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware do you run?
Yes i am aware of Binary and BCD Bennet. :P
I can make circuits that work, can you? I doubt it :D
Binary is easier to understand though than BCD for some people.
For safe running of your computer, you should have a PSU that is at least 400W, if you intend on only having it a short time. You could also invest in a high spec PSU around 700W ish, and transfer it to a new computer if/when you purchase one.
You get poisoned
I put in a kiwi fruit
Well for another check of your systems RAM, you could use Crucial Techs scanner to see what RAM you do have to see if it a matching pair.
Scanner can be downloaded from here:

If you just open your case, look for where your power cable goes in and there is ur PSU. The sticker normally faces towards you when the case is opened.
The value would look like this: ---W
As Bennet rightly said to run high end graphics cards a PSU (Power Supply Unit) needs to have a power output of at least 400W preferably higher.
Do exactly what Crunchie said to this person. Follow the steps from here:
http://www.daniweb.com/forums/post329847-2.html
To here:
http://www.daniweb.com/forums/post329952-5.html
If these are of no help or not relevant to you please start a new thread and hope that Crunchie will help you out. Crunchie is a specialist with this sort of thing.
It should enter the link automatically, in your case though it didn't work. Try entering them into the bookmark toolbar instead of into the bookmarks section, then place them onto the toolbar.
Crucial Techs scanner works for me :P
I used it to find out what i had, and then go and buy the correct elsewhere. Crucial weren't the cheapest that i found for 2Gb of PC3200 RAM.
But yeah just download their scanner from here:
http://crucial.com/uk/systemscanner/loader.aspx?Agree=Yes
simply download to desktop, then run the application. Quick, simple and to the point. Then you can delete it afterwards if you want.
If you right click onto the button in question, you will see the link that it is hopefully going to, if there is no link shown then add it in and press OK, that may solve your issue.
What data is on the BSOD? This can determine the actual cause of the boot problem. The code that is required is this part: 0x000.....
This line of code is the most important to diagnosing the problem with the computer.
Blind people can't see things with their eyes.
Hi,
Are you sure that you have spelt the kqayfdfh.dll correctly? There are no matches to it anywhere that i have searched. Can you get a PrintScreen of the error message?
Yes & No
Does this game get a bit repetitive?
I don't think this has been done before, but why not try it, it's tech related in a way:
I shall start

lol the great bennet doesn't know something!
:D
Nice one The Dude! :)
