public transport is crappy lol (and expensive)

and as if the govt. doesnt get enough from fuel tax, they get loads from road tax

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

possibly. For some reason Sp3 fixed an IE7 problem I had. For me sysfader.exe kept crashing and taking IE down

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

Have you got all the latest windows updates - sp3?

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

here its about 112.6p - 122.9p for unleaded and 124.2p - 136.0p for diesel

thats for 1 litre! (a litre is only about 0.2 imperial gallons!)

122.9 x 5 = 614.5

614.5p is about 12 and a bit dollars.

so yeah, your estimate is a true possibility for us in the UK

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

when it kept hanging when posting

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

for me they all seem to have started about the same time that there was problems with the database

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

well, the programs began around the same time and both relate to the same thing

double post / post never posts / post spinner posts forever / white screen / errors loading

all similar

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

this has been happening for me for about 6 months on a variety of machines

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

welcome. this section is for welcomes only. (Hint, I think AVG Professional (the paid for one) can do network scanning)

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

I thought it was my Sims game causing it. I don't suppose you all play Sims 2? If you don't, then the lines are not my fault for playing sims on my computer

sims could have overheated your GPU

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

command line or GUI?

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

please dont talk about breaking your schools IT policy or you will get an infarction. This is your only warning.

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

yeah if its got an R on the end then its malware, not the real one.

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

why go all the way to vegas when you can just go to your local bookie

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

only gambling i like is blackjack

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

Notable fact: The capital of my country is Kingstown, and in the past some irresponsible carriers/post offices used to take/send some of our snail mail to Jamaica instead of here.

i meant the kingston in london LOL just be glad your mail doesnt go all the way across the world to there

scru commented: oops +3
jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

Fly to UK and spend the day in London.

I like going to kingston for shopping

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

24 hours spent with attractive women on an island surrounded by clear blue water.

agreed.

the mid 80's.

80s? whats that in C?

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

marked as solved.

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

that would be useful for the reported posts forum

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

except maybe the Iraq war will last another 95 years

True. When we invaded we prepared for an 5 year war, which means it should be ending this year, lol good lick with that

Iraq will probably be like n.ireland, 100 years of sectarian violence

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

that the end of the world will come when people believing in different beliefs start to kill each other on a massive scale.my God is better than your God. Most likely, my God told me to kill all nonbelievers

that always happens in history. Crusades anyone?

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

as far as i know, NT based systems dont like people accessing ports directly. Try 98.

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

lol thats legend

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

Not all men had a choice

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

historically it was the other way around as loads of wemen died in childbirth

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

when the power plug isnt in.

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

by the way you can post shit, its not filtered

did the OP get his problem fixed?

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

True.

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

yeah but then you get a C and a D , not one large one

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

Yeah it is. Slipstream (integrate) SP2 , then burn a new windows cd.

This can be done using a tool called Nlite.

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

so is this solved?

if not, are you on a corporate domain, is UAC on or off?

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

yeah basically what xubuntu did was shrink your xp partition, leaving behind free space

what you can do with gparted, is enlarge it into the free space again

BACK UP FIRST. Resizing disks is always dangerous. Ensure you know what you are doing first.

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

no

XP needs at leat 1gb of free space to run properley.

I dont know about xubuntu, but most livecds include a software called "gparted" which can basically reverse what the installer did (you can use it to enlarge your xp pattition into the free space)

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

there not new, its just recently people discovered there are a few animated ones in the built-in collection (4th order). Only donaters/staff can upload their own animated ones though.

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

there is an Express version of 2008, yeah.

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

thats fine then

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

ie6 sp2 doesnt exist. IE6 is currently on service pack 1 + updates

i think most of these updates are included in Server 2003 SP2

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

indeed. Any talk of piracy will lead to infraction

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

10g express edition but there is no user interface like SQL Server has

seems to be a trend with the express editions. Microsoft SQL Server Express doesnt include a GUi either. you must use visual studio or "SQL Management Studio Express"

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

and just for reference, gnome runs some KDE stuff to make KDE apps run nicely.

linux commented: Thanks for the GNOME/KDE reference. +3
jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

MAC Address?

i have cable broadband but my modem wont play nicely with my router unless i tell my router to clone the MAC Address of the PC from which the modem was originally connected to when i first ran the ISP registration disk.

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

yeah its called dual booting but will be costly you will need to buy a full (not upgrade) copy of vista. If you do it as an upgrade from xp, and then reinstall xp, then microsoft will ban both keys.

Bigger hard drive might be a problem too. Your xp recovery CDs are probably setup so they will only install on that manufacturers hardware (to prevent piracy) so changing the disk might mean they wont install

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

so windows loads right?
just not your stuff?

it cant do that on its own, someone has been probably been messing with it...

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

the 8800 needs a 550w+ power supply, with a combined power of ~40a minimum (dual +12v rails is a must!)

what are the specs of your existing power supply

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

welcome man

jbennet 1,618 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

Is someone get a Job from these job offers from a Dani Web site ?
Administrators , Moderators and all others who have a relationship have no right to answer .

you dont make much sense. If you mean, do people get jobs from the job offers page, then i would answer yes (i have heard no complaints?) , but if you mean, is it possible to be employed by daniweb itself, then i would have to refer you to dani herself
