We just dislike you and thought you needed some extra clicking to do. I've only had that pop up once on my screen, ever.

Turn off automatic syncing. Then when you want to add new music to your ipod drag it from either explorer or itunes to your ipod and it will add it. You can then do whatever you want with the files without automatically deleting them. This is probably the easiest way …

Making a VPN (http://openvpn.net/index.php/open-source/documentation/howto.html) and then forcing all services to listen on the vpn IP only and using ssh public keys to login (http://sial.org/howto/openssh/publickey-auth/) is the most secure i can think of off the top of my head …

You could just leave your /boot partition alone and delete the rest of the linux partitions and edit your grub config so that it boots to XP on first try.

Card slots are a LOT slower than real ram. It's like using your hard drive's swap except it is on a different device. Make sure it's a class 6 card instead of a 2 or 4 so at least your card is as fast as possible.

Mount the disk image using magic iso or any of the other free software that mounts the disk for you. Then it will see it mounted as a CD drive and resume.

Todd Lammles books contain everything. For emulation cisco's own packettracer does 99.9 percent of the stuff that you do in the books. the only thing missing is older hardware which is usually the same as the newer ones just a few minute differences.
