check the helpscreens for the ftp program of preference

Add that to the task scheduler with a half hour schedule, using guidance from the helpscreens to task scheduler.

As the two prior posters answered
Google will evetuaqlly find your site once an indexed site creates a link to it
which takes time
Get a Google webmaster account
submit your xml sitemap there are wordpress plugins to create sitemaps directly from content.
then follow the directions given by google to solve problems in your site

Wordpress sites are usually easily indexed by google, but google has to know it exists

fixed size elements do not work in any device except the screen they were designed on, current best practice is em or % for layout, scalar quantities that auto-adjust to window size, screen resolution, user preference, device capability

Redirects to mobile subdomains, and or mobile specific css files, with small simple pages for phones and tablets is easy to accomplish, and if you separate content from layout, you can use the same content on all subdomains, with just simplified layout (images and scripts and css) for less capable devices

I know, replying to long dead posts, this is for Ryanm

current best practice & the google search term for that best practice would be CSS SPRITES
every image carries an overhead of http to control the transfer, it is silly to use 512bytes of http transfer to send two images to be used as background, when most of those images are smaller than the transfer protocol.
imagine a cartoon strip or film,
stitch all your small images together as a sprite and display the chosen part for each purpose. 1 image instead of example 20, is 10k smaller for a page load, the total size of the image is the same, but it is only transferred once

there are thousands of scripts to download and examine to get your own set up

As already replied above, html is a markup language to create a static web page directly.
php is a server scripting language used to create html pages at the server, interact with a database of (for example) HELP posts like this.
This web site is comprised of php scripts to create the millions of pages that make it.
There is not a horde of programmers retyping every altered page whenever somebody adds a post :P
Start with html, css, php, mysql,
with each there are good tutorial sites, heaps of code samples, prewritten scripts under gnu to base your own work on.

javascripts go in the <head>
the iframe call at the bottom, it is only an example
Modify your iframe to have the id referenced in the script
<iframe id='IFRAMEID' src="http:/www.abc.com" width="100%"></iframe>

the second script is not part of it, just an eample of a framebreaker, googleyahoo translate aware, in case the target site won't stay in your iframe, to let you see what is possible, no way to undo their framebreaker on your site

almostbob 866 Retired: passive income ROCKS

cant measure the external web page,
can make it fit the screen,
you get a scroll bar, inside the iframe, if the external site is bigger than 1 screen, appears close to the same site not in an iframe

<script type="text/javascript">
    function sizer() { var viewportheight;
    if (typeof window.innerWidth != 'undefined') { viewportheight = window.innerHeight }
    else if (typeof document.documentElement != 'undefined' && typeof document.documentElement.clientWidth != 'undefined' && document.documentElement.clientWidth != 0) { viewportheight = document.documentElement.clientHeight }
    else { viewportheight = document.getElementsByTagName('body')[0].clientHeight }
    document.getElementById('IFRAMEID').style.height=viewportheight; }
    document.onload = sizer();
    document.onresize = sizer(); </script>

<iframe id='IFRAMEID' width='100%'>

many sites wont allow their content in an iframe, they use a framebreaker script

<script type='text/javascript'>
<!--//
if (window != top) { if (top.location.href.indexOf("translate") < 0) {top.location.replace(self.location.href);} }
//-->
