Downloads Available:
This is download link !!!1Digital Wave Player Update 2.1.4!!!!!!!!!

This download updates the Digital Wave Player software bundled with Olympus VN-*PC series digital voice recorders from version 2.1.1 to 2.1.4. It enables Digital Wave Player versions 2.0 and later to run on Windows Vista systems, including those that use AMD Turion(TM) or Intel Core2 Duo processors. It also resolves the issue of sorting audio files by date on the VN-2100PC and VN-3100PC digital voice recorders. This download contains only an update program. The full application must be installed prior to running the update. The CD-ROM for Digital Wave Player is available on the Olympus Store.

the above link worked for me ,it was a zip file with 7 file in it ,the first one was english verson ,it would not install because i don't have the player you have!!

right click on mycomputer go to properties ,/hardware/device manager ,check in system devices ,make sure there are no! or red X on pci bus ,if yes you could try reinstalling motherboard chipset drivers !
maybe the board is getting bad ,

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

and i accodently took out the computers cable

by cable do you mean the electrical cord !
if so it meant the computer shut down without saving settings ,I have successfully fixed this problem many times by booting to a windows xp cd and choosing "R" for recovery consul, and in there at the prompt type in CHKDSK /F , it F does nothing try it with /R

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

maybe a better word is ,disabled ,and this may not even be possible in your bios,

I would like you to do the following:
Download ComboFix
Click on the Save button and then when it asks you where to save it, make sure you save it directly to your Windows Desktop.
Once the download is complete you will see the Combofix on the desktop.
*Close all open Windows including this one.
* Close or disable all running Antivirus, Antispyware, and Firewall programs as they may interfere with the proper running of ComboFix.
Doubleclick the combofix icon on the desktop to run the program.

Windows will issue a prompt asking whether you wish to run the program, click Run
You will then see a Disclaimer screen asking you to agree to the disclaimer. Press the number 1 key to accept the disclaimer.
Now just sit back and allow the program to run
Please note, that once you start ComboFix you should not click anywhere on the ComboFix window as it can cause the program to stall. In fact, when ComboFix is running, do not touch your computer at all and just take a break as it may take a while for it to complete.

When ComboFix has finished running, you will see a screen stating that it is preparing the log report. This can take a while, so please be patient. If you see your Windows desktop disappear, do not worry. This is normal and ComboFix will restore your desktop before it is finished. Eventually …

it must be saying hit f1 or del to enter setup[bios] when you get these error . if so do it and when in the bios set it to bios defaults ,then save changes and exit ,should help a lot .for some stuff that the builder added you may need to make customize changes to the bios yourself [or someone who know what changes to make ,Remember I'm just guessing at most of this as like Rik from RCE says ,we will need more info to be exact

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

no, you need to change the jumpers, read the manual, look it up in the internet depending on the model, pin 1 and 2 is normal, pin 2 and 3 is or reset. that is resetting the cmos most of the time is j1. By the way the way to do it is to put the jumper on 2 and 3 for 20 seconds, then put back again on 1 and 2. with the power off completely, unplugged.

removing the bios[motherboard] battery will achieve the same thing

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

Now I need screen drivers for my PC, because without them I can't play online xD.

chkdsk /p ,does not correct errors with out the /R .!
It only checks the drive , if you try to do a chkdsk [with no Parameters ]and get message disk does not need to be checked ,adding the /P will force chkdsk to run !

chkdsk [drive:] [/p] [/r]

Parameters

none

Used without parameters, chkdsk displays the status of the disk in the current drive.

drive:

Specifies the drive that you want chkdsk to check.

/p

Performs an exhaustive check even if the drive is not marked for chkdsk to run. This parameter does not make any changes to the drive.

/r

Locates bad sectors and recovers readable information. Implies /p.

this would lead me to believe it is not a ECC issues ,unless other computer was a server or workstation ![my dell workstation take ecc memory ]

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

I doubt it. But, as they say, the hangman's noose focuses the attention most marvelously. My hangman was a system with a mobo with on board video and an AGP upgrade, the noose was the BIOS behavior after the system upgrade.

I've found an ATI instruction for install of a Radeon in a system with on board video.

http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/737-20869HowtoInstallanATIRadeonGraphicsCardinaSystemwithOnboardVideo.aspx

It's pretty clear that the on board video has to be disabled for the add on to work. This implies that anything that happens during subsequent system upgrades, etc., that causes the BIOS to revert to a state in which the on-board graphic is not disabled - including the oft recommended reset of the CMOS - will leave the system unable to complet POST or boot, and with a blank black screen.

This is because the BIOS and boot process will attempt to use the on board graphic processor, and ignore the add on card processor, to which the monitor is connected. Since there is no connection to a monitor boot processes (lacking the "beep" code) will be unable to report BIOS conditions, and will not complete boot.

Based on my experience in this case I would suggest that the add on card be disabled, and the on board video re enabled, before upgrades to systems with on-board video that has been disabled in favor of an add on card. Once the BIOS has incorporated the system change information resulting from the upgrade, then the add on graphics card …

I've tried the memory in another machine and it works flawlessly.
Both the clock and data transfer speeds are the same on the old and new memory. I'll try updating the bios first to see if it helps. If not i'll have to get a new board.

did you try ram 1 gig at a time,as suggested above

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

Hmmmm... If the AGP card requires drivers to support the monitor/video during post, I'm a monkey's uncle. I suspect it only has to be recognized by the BIOS as a video device. It's not clear to me why, if it was not being recognized, simply moving the connection to the on-board graphics controller, which I did try, would not have been sufficient, unless it was essential to reset the CMOS before the machine would attempt to use the on-board GC. When I pulled the board *and* reset the BIOS the monitor worked for POST, boot completed, and I was able to enter BIOS to verify settings and the Dell diagnostics to verify my upgrades.

(I pulled the add on board, did yet another reset of the BIOS, and relocated the monitor connector to the on board GC at the same time, because it was 3 AM and I was impatient with iterative problem solving routine.)

I will have to to put that AGP card back in and move the video/monitor connection to it instead of to the on-board graphics processor the machine is now using. I remember enough of the original install to know it's non-trivial, and involves more than letting PnP discover a new hardware device (for instance: disabling the on-board graphics processor in BIOS?). So far I have not found the box or documentation for that 3-4 year old card, and will do a web search for those instructions and software.

sorry i missed it in your first …

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

I didn't know that I had to re-install my video drivers after installing service packs. I have all the original software for my system.

i assumed you must had reinstalled windows ,because you were installing all 3 sp's ,sorry

Hi ,welcome , a spider go in a made a web !
No,Really tho how would anyone but you know what happened to your motherboard !
Seriously now ,did you get a power serge ,lightening storm lately perhaps
did you try removing the card and reinstall them ,making a new clean connection and see if windows see the cards

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

Okay, the drive is SATA. Can you explain further about installing SATA drivers and what F6 does and how this might affect instaling XP or 2000 . . . but in basic language. I realize doing this how little I know these days about computers. So little.

ok i'll try , there are no sata drivers on the winxp/2000 disk ,there for you would need the correct drivers on a floppy disk ,as that is the only disk winxp will search and look for ,will not work with a thumbdrive or any other usb device ,,so with the drivers on a floppy disk and in the floppy drive ,when you start the window install you will see[along the bottom blue bar] hit F6 to install other drivers scsi and sata [something like that .]so if you laptop does not have a floppy drive ,new ones don't, you will need to use a program like Nlite to slipstream the correct drivers into a copy of winxp ,YOU will need to created this new copy using Nlite !not complicated ,reallyi can do it !lol
!see instructions and download Nlite if you so wish !

but I do not know why they say to make the recovery disks as a first step on initial startup. I also don't know why they fill 4 [FOUR!!] dvds....

I have 2 ,one old one new Compaq/HP[my daughters actually] Laptops , I had to Make recovery DVD's with both as none came with the laptop .they took 2 dvd's not 4,Staples and BestBuy and other large ripoff retailers charge an extra 100 dollars to do this .local shop where i hang out a bit charges 50 dollars to make the recovery's laptops they sell mostly Acer's r!

note: they can be made at any time as long as the laptop is working correctly ,usually a link to recover disk manager in start menu or control panel

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

I tried installing 2000 Pro but it didn't recognise any hard drives.

laptop likely has a SATA Harddrive ,not a IDE ,there you would need to install sata drivers ,that the hit F6 to install sata/scsi drivers when you first start the windows install same in winxp as win 2000 ,that is unless the correct sata drivers have been slipstreamed into the windows disk by you or someone else .,you would need a floppy drive in the laptop to do this ,and I say get the correct Vista DVD's and enjoy Vista !

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

remove -reinstall ram ,make sure you plugged the P4 plug back in if you removed power supply ,that the square 4 pin plug ,
