If you have a spare monitor connect it to your laptop. Can you hear the fan spin? If you dare, remove the laptop case and check the heatsink and fan area and see whether it is clog up with dust.

Your hard disk is not getting detected. Maybe you accidentally change your startup disk. You have to get an install disk and try booting it up and see whether that works.

I doubt your system is cleaned or maybe there are some after steps you have to do after deleting a virus. Go to this forum and create a new thread http://www.daniweb.com/hardware-and-software/microsoft-windows/viruses-spyware-and-other-nasties/64 There are virus fixing experts there who might be able to help you out. Good luck:)

Plug in when you want to backup your data to that hard drive using Time Machine, if not in use just plug it out. There are no pros but the cons is that your hard drive may get corrupted easily.

When using a mouse does it work? Based on the modem stick and flash disk, nothing can still be concluded. When you said not functioning, does the flash disk get detected in my computer but you are unable to use it?

No difference as seen in this link. I would recommend the Free Agent Goflex as a better choice. http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/products/external/

Played before bioshock but not Half life 2. Bioshock starts to get boring when you complete the game and the whole game is very short. The storyline is sucky. From the rest of the posters above, they recommend half life. So half life, it is. Have fun with your game …

Do a ping test and try using other web browsers. Post the results of your ping test. Try pinging to google.com and facebook.com Edit: Does using cable have the same problem?

Just a tip, remember to keep your anti virus always up to date for the latest protection. Just to be on a safe side you might want to update your virus definitions and scan again in case the trojan remains. Cheers.

Since you already diagnose that the built in ram is giving you trouble why not replace it with a new one or change the ram stick to another slots. There are always two slots in a laptop.

Just want to clarify what is spam again. Having links in your signature that promotes or advertise something is counted as spam but having your own blog in your link is now, right? So, how about having SEO links not affiliate to the poster? Does that count as spam too

Try this Logitech Cooler. The price is reasonable too.
