Can you be more specific and give us more details. Did you hear the fan spin when your computer start up. Does your computer start up for a while before shutting down automatically or it did not even start up at all. Try taking out the hard disk and test it on another laptop to make sure the hard disk is working well. Did you add any additoanl stuff like ram or replace any thing. Is your laptop battery working, if not charge it first before starting up again. Did you recalled having any virus recently. Maybe your anti virus software detect a virus but did not clean it up properly. There are so many reason to your problem, we have to do it step by step. More windows expert will come to your aid at a later time.

If programer25 can get help here there is no need to take his pc to a pro to have a look at it. And people always come to forums because they want help and not spending money everytime sending their laptop or computer for repair. If we can help them here i don't see why he should need to spent money and send his computer to an expert.

Isn't that what i have said before;). So to conclude, i was right but not confident in my answer.

Can you show us an image of it. Last time i haev this problem but it was not serious, i wipe out the spot with a spectacles cloth. Unless your screen is damage and you cannot use your laptop then replace the screen, if you can use the laptop but there is a white spot try wiping it away with a cloth. ( No water ) And do this when the laptop is turn off. Why will somone pick up a laptop by holding the screen. it will spoil the screen if you press on the screen too tightly.

Does this have to do with ram? Because the select = 1, does not looks like it is related to ram or whatever sort.

Do you mean deleting your daniweb account? If that is the case, you can't because daniweb have a system that does not delete account. Judging from the fact of your post above, it seems like you want to delete your daniweb account.

You can't possibly unsubscribe from threads or daniweb email subscription because this is only your first post. So that means you want to delete your daniweb account. Am i right? I am not sure whether the admin will delete your account but this has never happen before. So i doubt it will this time.

This thread is getting a bit out of hand .There is no point in creating a thread that results in a cat fight and down votes. Why don't we just let the moderators team, Crunchie, Jholland and PhilliePhan be in charge of the virus, spyware and other nasties forum. They have more experienced in that area than most of us and know how to handle things well. But that does not mean no mistake, every one will make a mistake sometime. Do we have to downvote each other because we have different opinion of something?? I believe that the trio ( referring to the 3 mods above ) will do just fine without any external assistance.

Sorry but there is no way to do this. When you reset all your setting will be reset to default.

Beside replacing the keyboard kitdel. Have you follow my instructions on the first page. Click on the username first before typing in the password.
What is your account status, like are you the admin or not. How many accounts are there on the laptop? If there are more than one, try logging in with different account. The problem might be with your account but i doubt it.

Your hard disk might have crashed. Check whether your hard disk is working correctly. Take the hard disk out and test it on another laptop, if it fails that mean your hard disk need to be replaced. Is you battery low, try charging your battery before starting up again. Make sure all your components are place it tightly and correctly.

I can still access the website without any problems. Retrieving a cache is tricky because, it does not just restore information on that site you want only. Retrieving your cache also retrieve all your browsers information like what you do on the weekends and others. Have you try typing about cache, like what danarchy said before?
