ok thanks i will test it out. It would just be cool if there was some super compiler. It would save a lot of time if you have to program in different langs for diff things.

ok right now when i am righting this post i have 600 posts (after i send it i will have 601). I also have a rate of 4.68 posts per day.

ok i know most people either buy a domain name and then hosting or buy them both from the same place. But where do the ppl who you buy hosting from get the space to sell. And if they have to buy it from somewhere then wher do those ppl get it. It seems like web space is just there.

If i was running something like windows 2003 server enteprise edition then could i have web space to sell. Or could i just make my own web site for free. Or is that Os just optimized for serving files over one network.

what is the best compiler out there that you can use for a variety of languages.
Like is their a compiler that can compile c++, the basics, java, etc.
I am just looking for a good compiler that is free and if possible can compile more than one prog. lang.

yeah no one ever listens to me when i tell them that i even bolded it and put in caps. Sometimes that is so annoying. Also you didn't save it to your hard drive you must unzip the file to a its own directory like C:/hijackthis (if it is the exe file just right click and say save target as and save it to your desktop).

whenever i try to run windows update i get this message

that solved it for me thanks dani. There is no more errors when i compile it using because of that i still have some bugs to tweak with dev c++ but im not sure if i downloaded the beta or not. Sorry about tagging your problem.

all you need is to edit the html files in dreamweaver as you would in frontpage. I find dreamweaver easier because i can just transfer files between all the other macromedia products(i.e Flash, fireworks, and director) with a click of a button.
If you don't want to constantly upload files to your site then you should try macromedia contribute all you need is an ftp account for your site and then you connect to that goto the page click edit and then it is as easy as typing in word. then when your done just click publish and it sends all the new data back to your site.

i have the same prob with dev c++ i couldn't figure out how to fix it. Try just doing a reinstall. This is such annoying problem too because most programs are made with iostream header file.

when you download hijackthis if it is just the exe file then right click and say save as. do the same if it is a zip file but extract the zip file to a driectory like C:/hijackthis

ok do an ad-aware scan, a spybot scan, close all your browsers and then scan with hijackthis

well the pros are:
better internet security
able to deactivate your antivirus and firewall via control panel
new windows updates
and of course a cool little blue light going across at boot screen

cons:
you could have gotten the same internet security with mozilla firefox
more annoying pop ups in the task bar
has been proven to make your comp worse
and usually brings out hidden viruses on your comp

So updating to sp2 is not good for your computer but eventually you are going to have to anyways just get ready to tweak it. I think that if you don't want to upgrade to sp2 in the next 6 months then don't. Because the new windows is set to release in 2006 so there would be no need.

warcraft sucks. why make a game now if you have such bad graphics and lousy game play. I find it boring and ppl who play it are usually so obsessed with it. I don't know how anyone could find playing that online interesting.

I can run the game on medium settings without it affecting my pc and like i posted before the story line could use some work but the graphics are sick. It is a little boring after a while of walking through dark room after dark room.

I think that xbox live and other things like it for other gaming systems are the biggest scam ever devised. And of course M$ created it. The thing that is bad about is that you have to pay a subsciption for pretty much getting internet access to a couple of games why don't they just figure out a way to connect to the internet then it would be really cool because pc people could play xbox ppl in both halo in cs (in cs thouhgh ppl with PCs would kick the xbox ppl's tails).

you definetley need to run a server unless you guys were on the same network or router then yo would need to run a server.

ok you don't need to convert anyfile names. the suse live eval is not what you want to run linux while using your existing windows files. You should download the fedora core 2 or fedora core 3 test cds or dvds. And you can burn the cds easily if you have nero. You just open up nero express select open saved project/disc image (you probably have to scroll down in the file type box so you can see the iso images) then it will automatically burn the cd the way you want it so that it can boot. If you don't have nero then you probably need a program that can extract iso's like winrar and then just burn them onto bootable data discs using floppy discs. Then when installing if you want to run linux while accessing your windows files you need to set up a dual boot (a live cd just runs off the cd) when i installed fedora core 2 if you select auto partition then it will pretty much do everything for you. Then when you reboot you will have two or three selections 2 of them will be for linux one will say dos which means windows and there you go now you can run both linux and windows on one machine.

ok each one of those things are available on there main site to download and install in unix OSes. So once you downloaded and installed them you don't have to do anything to the mysql(you should have the database server edition) or the php(you might also want to get zend which speeds up php development) for now (this is just basic setup). For apache if you are testing on your own comp and not on a web server then you just set the domain to localhost and your site to localhost. then you don't need to upload to test scripts you can download an IDE i have one called svoi.net php edit it works well. This way you can test your scripts before you put them on a site. I don't know how you set up mysql for a remote site so you might have to just get a book on php and mysql for step by step instructions.

I don't know if they make one( if they do it is probably both php and sql), but if they do then sams teach yourself in 24 hours are good books to start. Or the for dummies series. Once you have read one of the sql books then another good resource to have is o'reily's pocketguide for sql that way you will have a short reference when you need to know something that you forgot (o'reily has an ok book on sql).

there is probably a componenet that is missing that you need to use system restore you could just use the system restore of the xp cd and get your windows back to original state without losing all your files and programs.

yeah i decided to go with c++ because it is a very dynamic programming language and i need to know how to program in c++. Do you have any idea on how to start a program like this i tried to find a translator that was open source but couldn't so i need to start from the ground up.
