You should check out our search feature ... you can search for all threads within a particular topic and even all threads within a particular topic limited to a particular forum or group of forums.

Do Google searches for "<topic name> links" or "<topic name> directory" to find related sites that have link pages or directories. Then, email them to ask if they would consider adding your site.

On a rare occassion, I'll check out my alexa rankings. However, I hold absolutely 0% faith in their accuracy and I don't think they count for very much either. That's just my opinion. We all know that traffic inevitably goes down during the summer months and the weekends. However, I'm confused as to exactly why this is. And, of course, by understanding why, I could perhaps help improve the situation for my site. During the weekends, for example, I understand that people go …

Re: C

I originally learned C++ in a high school class in 11th grade. It was very very intro (we covered functions, that's just about it). I started to get into it on my own, but really came back to it in college when I started my CSC major. (Took me a …

A "flag as spam" link is pretty standard in webmail applications nowadays, and so I think it would be reasonably unconfusing.

Clear out your temporary internet files / browser cache. This should fix the issue.

PHP or .NET? Well, they are vastly different languages. The biggest difference that comes to mind is that PHP is typically Linux-oriented while .NET is a Windows language. .NET is also very object oriented while PHP allows you to define classes but doesn't require it (think C++). Personally I favor …

There is a limit to the amount of RAM you can have with a 32-bit Windows OS. I forget if the limit is 4 gigs or 8 gigs.

Firstly, welcome back Stack Overflow! You have definitely been missed. It's actually funny that you bring up eFax now. I just recently got a multifunction printer, and while it works fine sending and receiving to regular fax machines, it is incredibly temperamental interacting with eFax. I've been trying to get …
My apologies for the urls and the misspells, yuk!...
No problem. However, instead of using banner advertising, instead make it all tightly integrated content. Do a feed of "recommended books" on the actual blog pages, etc. Don't make the blog and the eCommerce site two separate entities.

I'm sorta upset. My site used to have a PR 6 on the homepage, while some-subpages had PR 5 and other less-popular pages were PR 2. Now, the daniweb.com homepage is PR 4 and the techtalkforums.com homepage is PR 5. :(
