this could be the problem i think,not positive but don't you need two the same cards when using sli.

maybe heat build up ,leave side of the tower and see how it runs .

the temps are from when you use winamp and mozilla ,neither would drive the temp up .
what program/device are you using to read/show the cpu temps

maybe Bill didn't realize someday people like yourself would be out buying 17 thousand songs and [that's a lot of money you must be rich,I'm sure a good person like you didn't pirate them ] copying them to 2 different folders and then worry if they lost 1 or 2 of the 17000.
oh,and sync is for copying them to a mp3 device ,and i don't thing it will sync to another hard drive

I have folder 1 on a USB drive 1965 folders containing 17937 files
I have folder 2 on C: this has 1942 folders containing 17662 files

I am in windows XP

How can I check if Folder 1 contains every file of folder 2?

run chkdsk /f ,from the winxp cd ,is doing the same as the way you described by going to harddrive/tools and run the check of the hdd.

I told that we use another OS for this. to do this install xp copy in same (if space available ) drive or different drive. I successfully did lots of time with my clients.

all you need to do is boot to winxp cd and go to recovery and run chkdsk /f

we usually don't offer help with this because how do we know you actually own the computer ,so you best bet is to try to remember it or google it to fing many different ways

Possible Solution......go to Start /run/ type in ,regedit.and do the following

There are 2 reg keys that can screw the device......remove them both and reboot......

The keys are:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325 -11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} - "Upperfilters" and "Lowerfilters".

They all show in tools/plugins/options

i google your problem and some of the post go back to 06 with people having same problem ,read a few and they suggested going back to wmp 10 try it to see if visualization works ,then keep it or reinstall wmp11 and try again

yes ,you have the keypad turned on ,not sure but on mine its thee FN key" bottom row" and f11"top row " to turn it off

run it in normal mode ,according to malware log you had 1 trojan and it fixe it

I did the msconfig startup search, looked at files in their locations, and checked the icon of each of the items. None of the items had an icon that matched this mystery icon.

It shows up only about once a week.

I have an Acer 5920 laptop that recently had a bug in the boot sector. I wound up reinstalling Vista on another partition to be able to get back to the original installation that came with it. Now that it is back working I noticed that only 2G of the installed 4G is showing up in the system or the BIOS. I opened and looked, removed and replaced the two memory sticks and still only 2G will read in the bottom slot. Both sticks read in the bottom slot and the system won't boot up with one in the top slot. Is this a sign of a dead motherboard, or try something else.

i thought maybe it more likely a sign that the laptop only takes 2 gig of ram and no more,but a google search shows it can take 2x2gig ,maybe a dead ram slot ,try a brush or compressed ait to make sure nothing in the slot

and second i never enter misconf before. maybe you can give me more info.

"Click" check all boot paths, if they find a fault in one, delete it and reboot if they are OK, "click" on the bottom XP (the top one could be highlighted) "click" move up, "Click" make default, "change" time out to 3 seconds, "Click" apply and exit, "Click" restart.
When your machine starts you will get the msconfig screen again, put a check in the square and "Click" OK

I have done that I was supposed to delete the partitions and then reformat.

only if you waanted to ,how many partitions were there ,you should have been able to just format the partition and then just continue with the install if you used your winxo cd to format the drive

I thought that if someone buys Adobe Acrobat Professional they wouldn't be buying it for opening PDF files but to make PDF files from other documents, in particular MS Word docs.

you didn't say it was full pro and that you bought it ,i made a bad assumption ,thought you were referring to adobe acrobat reader free program ! Acrobat reader sorry ,

why not just use a flash drive to take the word documents from one computer to the other to create the pdf file .i also think office 2003 can save word files as pdf file if im not mistaken ,good luck

makes sense as acrobat is for PDF files and not Word text doc's,isn't it ! mine is anyway

it has to work ,we load winxp recovery on laptops that have been upgraded tp all the time ,and nothing happens , the fact that one is 32bit and one 64 bit will not affect it ,in my opinion

What about the option of having a complete Windows7-32 backup and then restoring that back up after installing Windows7-64 ?

that should work as the restore of the 32 bit backup would format hdd and reinstall ,64 bit shouldn't have any affect on the restore

hi, sounds nice ,just a comment as i'm not up on i5 or i7 cpu's and motherboards ,
you are looking for cheaper board but don't say how much the one you posted is ,

i guess that means i need to start saving some money up, so i can get a better machine. do you have any suggestions where i might find a cheap machine that has a faster cpu? i would like one that is at least as easy to take apart and clean/add hardware as the one i have. i do have 3 small capacity hard drives (2@ 30GB, 1@ 327MB) out of old machines, and a few cd-rw and floppy drives, as well as some other spare parts. all i would need in the box (other than the mobo and cpu) would be a sound card and usb2.0 ports, and a free pci slot.
sorry i got impatient about there not being a way to get my old 'frankenstein' to handle all the sh** i ask it to do. i just have to get some extra money together :$
