its possible that if you uninstall you chip set ,and video drivers and any other devices before you move the hardrive it may work

My 7 year old Intel 32 bit motherboard passed away. I'l like to replace it with a 64 bit motherboard, processor and memory and still run my Xp Pro hard drive and DXD/CD. Here's the big question: will Xp boot up on the 64 bit hardware? I'm assuming I'll have to load some 64 bit drivers for the printer, etc.

first no problem using you harddrive and dvd rom ,but you will [most] likely have to reinstall winxp ,you won't need to run 64 bit drivers if you are using a 32 bit winxp ,you will need to use 32 bit drivers for everything ,no advantage to having a 64 bit motherboard unless you install a 64 bit windows OS

I've seen it is possible to convert a 32 bit license to 64 bit, but I don't think it goes the other way around..

my copy of win7 ultimate came with 2 dvd's one 32bit and on is 64 bit

ok i ridded a computer of 1021 infected files 23 viruses and 3 droppers. after disinfection internet axcess was damaged , so i re-installed the TCP/IP to the LAN connection and deleted the WinSock and WinSock2 entries and rebooted, (automatically rewriting the entries correctly) and bam i had internet connection, BUT when i try to go to the gmail sign-in page i get an ssl connection error (google chrome)

Error 107 (net::ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR): SSL protocol error.

it seems like its missing a driver or something because it ONLY happens on the gmail login page (which is https) PHP works perfect, but https i get the said error, on all other browsers i get "page cannot be found"

so it appears if a driver or something is missing, can anyone direct me? specifically on how to re install and check ALL components essential to ssl within windows xp

hi,go to device manager and make sure that the network adapter is working ,no red or yellow ! ,if there are then you need to reinstall drivers for the d evice

no the colors will not all be together ,for one ,system files are not defragged ,therefor they would be in different location

a few hrs isn't long for defrag ,,also it would depend on the size of the drive and how bad its defragemented.

i have yet defr4ag my 320 gig ,running win7 since last november ,started to do defrag last week and its 0% fragemented

hi,I've never heard of a free Microsoft office that wasn't bootlegged .Its not likely that it came with a free one when the computer was new ,unless you bought it from a company that installed bootlegged copy's of those programs .

hi, if it were mine i would delete its folder in program file and then use CCleaners' registry cleaner to remove it from the registry ,having said that i don't use skype ,but have done the same thing with many computers and many different programs that would not uninstall! good luck .

winxp would not have any drives for those devices ,so you need to go to the laptop makers website and get winxp drivers for your model

did you also look around for disable splash screen ,it been so long since i disabled a splash scree i forget exactly,and also its different in different bios 's

safe to disable it .

processor will over heat ans auto shutdown if heatsinc is not install correctly ,and snug and tight by the fan heatsinc clamps not you hand .

psu can over heat as well, as inside it has many the same components as a computer motherboard and if capasitors are bad it will heat up and turn off as well !

because its not a zip drive ,nor is it a usb-cdrom or a usb-hdd[hardisk drive ]nor is it a floppy drive [usb fdd].it will not boot to the pen drive ,that one came next maybe a bios update will fix it but you would have to check with manufacture to see if they have one with that fix in it

ok,not much you can do except open the tower and check and make sure the fan on the video card is working ,if it overheating nothing we tell you will change that !
you really need to return it for warrenty

not really sure why it would act that way sorry ,if it were mine ,i would at least unplug it from motherbard and plug it back in just to be sure of good connection ,it may be faulty card

i had same error message about my video card stopping and restarting ,it never had win7 drivers for the card so iu removed it and just use my onboard video ,im not a gamer so i reall don't know if your card is good enough to play said games .but my suggestion would be to make sure that you are using latest drivers from nvida website for you card .

hi, to the best of my knowledge it will need to be formatted as it will not be NTFS file system on it ,in disk manager when you right click on do it give the option to format it

its not just Hotmail ,what ever one you use will eventually do the same thing .
one should have a good legit email address from there ISP [internet service provider ] and use that for personal email , using outlook expres or windows live mail , and have a hotmail acct to used for signing up to help forums nad any other website that ask for one a email address.and then you just have to manage you junk e-mail ,have hotmail set up more secure so as to only recieve mail from people in you address book and such ,good luck

hi ,try going to device manager and open[hit the +] the usb device section bottom of the list ,uninstall all listed and reboot vista to have vista reinstall device drivers and try you device again

when I press Esc key ( not F2 or F10 as in the case of my laptop) to enter BIOS for setting boot order, the system hangs forever till I remove the CD from internal or External DVD-ROM, then it will continue rebootint itself.
Any help appreciated.
