The 24.4 GB is the amount of space your C drive takes up. There are ram and hard disk and both of them have the GB at the back. If your hard disk have 500 GB and it shows 24.4 GB in your C drive, that means your C drive use 24.4 GB out of the 500 GB. Assuming you have no other partitions, you have left 475.6 GB of free space. 2GB ram determines the speed of your computer, the more ram the faster the computer. Hope that helps:)

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

The 10MB connections mean that is how fast your connection is when you are browsing the web. 2MB is the download speed, so if you have a 5MB download speed, you will download files from the internet at a faster rate and shorter time.

Second, you thought that something might be wrong with your internet connection. Are you using the same routers but different ISP when using skype. When using the ethernet cable, you receive the total of 10 mbps when using the internet. If use the router and connect wirelessly, it will be slower depends on your router. Does any other people using the same 10 mbps network as you have problem when using their skype? Go and check with your family members or your girlfriend and see whether their skype freeze.

Try selecting the clips again. This time after selecting the clip, go to Crop, Rotate and Ken Burns. At the video box ( right hand corner ), you will see two arrows sign. Click on them and rotate the video. See whether that helps. All the best

The beep codes you have a video error. Try reseating the ram chips and your graphics card.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

I have a 54 MBps when using wireless and the test results were 4.02 while upload speed were 1.10 mbps. So i think there is nothing wrong with your connection. Are you connecting with cable or wireless?

Maybe that your problem too. You have to manually set the DNS server address on all affected computer. Is your ISP willing to help, maybe they can change all the dns server at one time. call them

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Glad that help. See you next time:)

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

So when he is using a UK ISP there is no problem. He can view all websites like normal. How about other people. If they use other ISP and are having no problem, your ISP is mostly the cause of the problem. For your work network and home network, are you using the same ISP for both?

When you configure the DNS server to Google DNS server, does other website work or only google. Just to clarify, does the problem occur on most websites you visited. If changing the DNS server work, the same could happen to your colleagues computer. A spyware accidentally downloaded to the internet, can affect one computer but it does not spread so i am puzzled by your problem too. Try using another computer and change the DNS server too. If it works and the computer is fine, it seems like a DNS problem.

Is that a malwarebytes scan, why does it seems so weird. If you know how to use combofix the right way if you do not know do not use it. Does other laptops or computers have the same problem as you when connect to different networks? Have you try resetting the router? Download and run this software.

From what you stated and have tried out. It seems like a positive DNS Server error. Very rare but still happens. Go to network connections and in TCP/IP properties. makre sure your DNS server is properly configured.

You are right about the Motherboard being from an E-Machine. If you have spare HDD, put in some data into it ( Not important ) and try it with the Imperial motherboard. Use the emachine cd and try reinstalling the HDD and see if that works.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

You have to buy it or do you want the trial one?

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

I need the full name of the software to check whether it meet the requirements to intall on Windows 7.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

You know that doing that will cause you to lost all your data unless you have back it up.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

It will just look different. Nothing else unless you check whether there are any new features in Windows 7 that in XP for the software or which one takes up more space. Technically everything is the same, is just the graphics is better in Windows 7.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Try different browsers and all have the same problem. Beside javascript, can spam cause the website to load smaller?

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Some screenshots of what i am facing. It only happens when i am using a laptop to browse daniweb, when using a phone, it seems to load faster and everything is normal. Anyone test that out yet?

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Try loading igoogle, see if that's help. Do you have any malware problems lately?

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

So your desktop PC works but not your laptops. Try this

1) Open Command
2) Type ipconfig /flushdns

Reopen your browser and see whether that works. Delete all cookies and run ad aware. You have to ask other people on how to use ad aware in this case. Good luck.

When you wake up in the morning or have free time, try using other PC or laptops and see whether google.com is able to load. If yes, that means something is wrong with your laptop.
