Hi there Mike :) Welcome to DaniWeb. Don't mind Alexline ... sometimes newbies don't know / understand proper forum etiquette so we give them a little extra slack as long as it shows they are trying to be courteous and trying.

I'm sorry, I'm confused by your question. Is this something that Linkshare offers (the ability to see all of the publishers registered)?

> "The execs have the Google geeks working over time to ensure that at the end of each quater there is a spike in revenue thus making the charts look great for shareholders". Sounds like an accurate statement that would hold true for any publicly traded company.

They clicked the 'Link' button in the editor toolbar, and then hit cancel, and when it injected dummy text for 'insert link here' Markdown into the editor, they didn't delete it.

What type of website analysis? I use http://www.webpagetest.org for example, but not sure if that's what you're thinking of.

I'm confused by what you mean. Webpage size? Standard sizes?? Basically you just need to design your sites to accomodate people who browse your site from all different size web browsers and resolutions. Design for 1024 pixels wide, typically.

The easiest way to get started for someone without a lot of web dev experience is to use a preexisting service. Here's an example of one => http://www.bravemailer.com/

It's time yet again for a DaniWeb Developer Competition!! This time the goal is to utilize [our new API](http://www.daniweb.com/api/home) launched last month. There's a lot that you can do with our API. Essentially it allows your application (web, desktop, mobile, etc) to tap into DaniWeb's backend. Your own application can …

That's the point of the mailing list :) It actually already does filter out content we don't think you'd be interested in. There's a warning label when you opt into it that you're supposed to set up mail rules to do filtering for you based on your own needs.

XML sitemaps are for Googlebots and crawlers. You can link to your sitemap from within your robots.txt file and Googlebot will find it automatically. They'll also give you information about indexing status of all of the links in Google Webmaster Tools. You can also have an HTML sitemap for your …

We actually use Google search results because we found they are better than when we were using our own in house engine. You should be getting results similar to if you did a regular google search and added `site:www.daniweb.com` to the search term.

It's okay to hide content due to user interactivity reasons (such as hiding a navigation menu by default that only switches to show when a user hovers their mouse somewhere, for example). But it's a big no-no to use cloaking techniques, which means showing end users something different than you're …
