You can just choose yes in the dialog box and then click ok... and you'll have flash player installed .... Once installed .. it'll not give you the warnings.

setupdd.sys to my knowledge is used to initiate the emergency repair process and its a windows related file .. it has nothing to do with the bios setup ... You could just boot from your windows xp cd and repair your windows from there .. I think the problem should be solved by this. See if it works.

The startup items are located in a registry hive ... but you can enable or disable them using msconfig.

Type msconfig in cmd prompt and see the last tab -- startup.

What are the error codes you get usually ?? Error codes are of the format 0x000000aa where aa is any number.

Blue screen errors are usually generated by hardware conflicts or malfunctioning ... So get the error n you'll know what hardware is creating problems for you.

Are you sure that you are typing the password correctly ??? if yes then check your username .... you could be typing the password of a user account with admin previllages .... you actually have to type the real admin password (the account with the name administrator) ... Try using a blank password too.

If its a hardware ... just go to device manager and disable the devices that are creating problems ....

and if its a software run msconfig and uncheck any startup programs related to the software which install wizard is trying to install.

What kinda popup messages do you get on the popup menus?

If there's a floppy drive attached ... detach it and try again ...

I think running msconfig is a better choice where you can uncheck the startup items to stop them from loading ... and if you need them back .. you can simply check them again .... and if you want to stop the startup services too .. you can also do it with msconfig.

Just type msconfig in the run command / dos prompt and see the last two tabs ... services and startup items.

Try enabling vga mode ... after completely uninstalling your graphics card driver ... if it works ... then its a problem with your vga card driver ... try another compatible one.

You did all those upgrades and didnt install a video driver for your graphics card ?? Most probably you dont have your graphics card driver installed .. windows in running its own basic graphics driver.

That's how to install 98 after XP is already installed. Just running the 98 install from CD as normal will cause problems.

I did it like this when I used windows 98 .... anywayz thanks for giving a more optimum solution.

I have used JBuilder 7 ... so I'm afraid I'll not be able to tell you the exact paths .... but I remember that the first option in the native exe builder was the dos based program creation and then second one was the windows based one ... and then others for mac linux etc ... you'll have to check the second one ...

There are other tools for building exe of java programs ... you can search google for the tools..

You can also make a small C program that executes your java files ...

So you want to install windows 98 over xp ... hmm .. you can do so by booting from windows 98 cd .. installing windows 98 and then you'll have to repair windows xp installation ... all will go fine afterwards..

Maybe you can work on some kind of simulation things such as traffic simulation with intelligent drivers, pedestrians... or air control simulation. Also a modeling kind of thing might be interesting too, maybe a web based human nerve system modeling for doctors maybe so that they can try any new operation on that model and see the basic complications or endications which might occur... or things like that.

Simulation project !! good idea ... I studies a subject digital signal processing but my teacher forced me to do the simulation project in C++ ... he said that C++ was more suited in these types of projects.

What do you want to do ?? a desktop app, a network software, a web applicaiton or some mobile coding ?

The native exe option is just an exewrapper to facilitate easier starting of the application.
It still needs an installed JVM on the target machine.
Effectively it's little more than a glorified batchfile :)
This is the normal way for Java.

True ... the exe file will only run where jvm is installed ... but you can also use installation creators to first install jvm on the target machine and then install your software .. but that will be of too much size.

If its a GUI app .. and its like running and disappearing ... then you should check your constructor code ... there must be some mistake there.

I followed the Invaders tutorial and I'm trying to make it into an exe file. I have JBuilder 9 and I tried the "Native Executable" tool and it just opens up the program and closes it. Any help would be appreciated.

What program are you trying to turn into an exe ... is it a GUI based program or a command line program ?? if its a GUI program then there's an option in JBuilder about making a GUI exe ... and if its a command line program then you'll have to take care that you input some random thing at the end of the program so that it may show up until you press that key ....

There's a probability that the file is corrupt on the server ... so it downloads completely and then only runs for the time it's not corrupt ....

I usually encounter same problems but its always due to corrupt video files .. not anything else.

Nah ... I never scrubbed my hard drive until I sold it out ... but if you are more concerned about your privacy then you can certainly do it on a regular basis ...

For MCSE Windows 2003 family you must pass seven exams including one client OS exam (win xp or win 2000) and three network OS exams, one design exam and two electives ....

so most probably you should be starting the client OS first .... Windows XP 70-270. You can find more detailed information about MCSE on microsoft website.

Scrubbing a disk means writing over each bit on the drive with new and usually random information. If you delete your files from the recycle bin even then it'll be possible to access that information ... scrubbing is a means to erase that information.

There are tools that can scrub the disk ... US department of Defence recommends scrubbing a disk 7 times.

Scrubbing is usually done when a hard drive is sold or given to someone.
