Disk Administaror(or disk management) it's a windows prog, you can find it in control panel -> computer magement -> disk management. but i don't think that disk administrator is a good thing for partitioning. it's worth to use 3d party progs, like disk director.

Check your drive for viruses. If I were you I would go to the shop where you've bought this drive and ask for changing or for testing at least.

You can download it here and simply copy to your drive. also read more here about you problem.

Found it useful for myself http://www.slideshare.net/Acronis/continuous-data-protection-2149693 There is an examination of the two data protection solutions that will always complement a CDP investment – near-continuous data protection (near CDP) and traditional file-and-folder – and show where each is best applied.

i think it's possible, read the manual. i'm not a guru in norton ghost, i use true image, and there is an option "create recovery boot disk". so i think the same should be in norton.

I've found Data Recovery Wizart, it isn't free, but it recovers data from formatted drive. If you are interested in it, look at link: http://www.ptdd.com/datarecovery/recover-formatted-partition.htm

it's a common error, you need to restore all of the data and then delete the partition and reformat it, to recover staff try using getDataBack for Fat or NTFS, it would help.

hmm, Partition Logic is good prog, but it has limitations due to that it's free. IMO It's better to get an another 3d party partitioning prog for example partition magic or disk director. they have a good feature set and they are more reliable. as for me i use disk …

hmm, go to right click on my computer, manage, disk management. There you will be able to see your ext drive. it seems to me that you have one partition created and plenty of unused(not formated) space. post back the results

have you tried just to install it on the third partition? Hmm, i don't now whether boot.ini file will be messed up, but i might be. May be it's worth to use 3d party boot manager. Here is a good one - os selector.

if you use win xp, then it's easy, just insert a blank cd disk into the drive. Then open it in "My Computer" and drag&drop files you want to burn there, after this click on the button burn to cd disk.
