Oh I have used a few survey tools. I have used survey monkey and survey gizmo. I used of constant contact but I dont think you can white label it which was a factor.

Many posts on this forum mention tools but some are self promoting. I just want to compile a list of sites where one can use to obtain SEO/competitive intelligence insights? (Better if there are free ones out there).

I have used both Radian6 and Techgigy. They are both very extensive and it is sue for strategy development and PR surveillance.

I totally agree. I consider tweets as a modern form of easves dropping in elevator conversations but it this world, its not rude to break into the conversation, unlike in the elevator. Thus, being on twitter allows this increased potential reach.

Yes, many clients do have hesitation towards social media but clients have to understand that somehow in the social media mix, there are opportunities to increase revenue. This way, attaching anything with revenue will increase its lure.

Basically, traditional marketing included a print ad, event marketing, and tv/media. Now, interactive marketing has made marketing more dynamic, in some ways cheaper, and more measurable. But there are many companies/people who may be resistant to moving to the new ways, so what do you recommend on moving this transition?

Just remember that if its grey hat - it may quickly become black hat than white hat. So be cautious and careful.

Similar issue occurred with Myspace. I am glad that Twitter is cutting it in the bud sooner than later and not encounter the same (almost) demise as Myspace.

I have tried the following tactics and it still seems spam gets through:
1. individually going through every email and unsubscribe - very time consuming
2. just deleting the email without reading it
3. in some cases - just labeling it as spam

My advice is not to follow any Black Hat SEO techniques. This will really hurt the chances of your site appearing on Google's SERP which is detrimental, especially for an e-commerce site.

Yes, blog ares very fruitful for SEO purposes but one has to really remember that a blog is like a plant, it needs constant attention. The post have to be of value to the visitor, the content has to be relevant, and most of all, it can't be self-promoting. Self promoting blogs relaly turn off the visitors.

I strongly recommend Google AdWords - remember to put each keyword per line. I also recommend to correlate it with Google Trends.

If you want to capitalize on the fact that your internal page has a PR 4 with lower ranking pages, you may need to strengthen your internal linking. Thus, you have to strengthen the number of internal links through the navigation and optimize it with the content and keywords.

There are two issues to consider here:
1. Conversion Rate
2. Call To Action

In regards to Conversion Rate, one has to consider the average in general is usually 2-3%. There are ways to optimize these numbers by:
a. improving usability
b. motivating the visitor to dig digger to the site and become more curious on the product
c. invite the visitor to subscribe or sign up for a special deal club

In regards to Call to Action, there has to be one that is visible and enticing.

I would not touch nor recommend Black Hat SEO at all..... Why? If caught, the site that uses Black Hat SEO will be punished by Google by not appearing on SERPs. That is a HUGE price to pay in this market.

Yes, Twitter has been very good killing spammers and they do it silently. The only way you may notice is that your # of Followers goes down. In the beginning, I thought my Followers didn't like my tweets until I discovered the truth. :-)

I think it has been done already but I am a firm believer that human touch has to also be incorporated. For example, a startup uses social media to promote its new product but such 2.0 tactics cant substitute the human interaction of a business development professional.
