not really! is the old install you have now pro or xp home edition
If it were i would backup important files and do a format and fresh install of your new winxp pro

by repair you mean reinstall windows over top of the existing install ,so as to replace /fix missing files and drives .correct ,so when you did it the first time ,What happened ??????????,what were you hoping to fix with doing the repair ,what problems are you having

not sure if it can be done just for outlook, im referring to windows default, that can be done in control panel, add and remove program .on the let or it may in the start menu

i have both ,but it irrelevant as to how they work ,laptop is old p3,1000,it works just fine !desktop is 5 yr old P4 2.8 it works ok for what i use it for !

i don't know TrueCrypt either but i do know its not part of winxp its a 3rd party piece of software .do a google.com search for it if you dare!

are you suing a AT&T wireless router/ modem combo .or there modem and your own wireless router

are you the only one using the computer ,if so i would suggest a bios password !but if you do set it don't forget it!
on bootup go to bios/setup, usually hitting f2 or del to get there and in there you find a place to set a password !

try shift + 2

check device manager,make sure that the network adapter drivers are installed.,device manager ,right click on mycomputer /properties /hardware /device manager, look for red or yellow x or ! next to network adapters

just remove the onboard battery for a bit it will reset bios to defaults,or look for jumper ,its usually near the battery

my pc has been fine since i got it, no problems what so ever,

Irrelevant, new computers have problems !

but now for some reason every 15 minutes or so i get the BSOD,

does this mean it restart and runs for another fifteen minutes ,is yes ,right click on mycomputer ,go properties/ go advanced ,go startup and recovery section,click on settings,go to system failure and unckeck automatically restart.
next time you get bsod right down the full error message and post the results here !

way back in 05 it was harder than it is now ,you BIOS has options to change bood device,
if you computer is newer it may have a setting in the BIOS to pick usb boot device ,if so you need to pick usb cdrom

using the f8 option to boot to safe mode ,you should then see 2 acct, yours and the admin acct ,using the admin acct, go to control panel /users and you should be able to remove the password ,no need to delete the acct , just the password !

for it menu bar try this see my screen shot right click next to the second tab where it says sighn in on mine and you will get the dropdown check of the missing tabs if there are checked off and not showing then it is a likely cause of the trojans .

ok..I Downloaded this game(MCM2)... and there were no .exe files but there were these 3 files in the folder - MCM2.cdd,MCM2.img and MCM2.sub..

could be a corrupt download ,where did you get it from!web site or p2p like limewire or one of the others

file/edit/view/favorites/tools/help ,for this try right clicking on the empty area where the bar should be of IE and chose the menu bar and any other bar that may be disabled .
Windows updates can only be gotten with IE,or make sure that updates are set to auto update or warn me updates are available but i will choose to download them . do this by right clicking on mycomputer, go properties and chose automatic updates .

explain a little better please ,does IE go to any websites ,internet option is for setting up IE so if IE doesen't work then the internet options function will not work either! i assume ,what does firefox do ,does it connect to the internet and allow you to surf the net!

what commands are you using in the "R" recovery , i will assume "chkdsk /r" if so,are you usinf the winxp cd to get to the recovery and are you removing the windows cd and then typing "exit" in recovery to reboot computer
