when I was putting a MIcrophone wire in the driver, the driver deslocated.

does this mean ,when you plugged the mic into the sound card at the back of the computer the card disloacated from the motherboard PCI slot while the computer was running ,if so you may have damaged the sound card .

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

from utube site .

Why can't I hear the audio when I'm watching a video?
To make sure that you hear sound while watching videos, please check the volume controls on your computer. Also, be sure to increase the volume on other conventional video players on your computer, such as Real Player or Windows Media. This may have an effect on your computer's master volume levels. Next, check to see if your system meets these requirements for running the Video Viewer:

* Macromedia Flash Player 7.0+ plug-in
* Windows 2000 or higher with latest updates installed
* Mac OS X 10.3 or higher
* Firefox 1.1+, IE 5.0+, or Safari 1.0+
* Broadband connection with 500+ Kbps

Hello everybody, i'm portuguese but I hope you can understand my english...
Here's my problem, a few months ago, i used a Onboard audio driver, C-Media audio driver, but i had a lot of problems with that one so i bought another, it's a Creative SoundBlaster Live! 5.1. I uninstalled the other driver (c-media) and before WIndows XP booted I went to the Setup and disabled the C-media. WIndows started and I installed the new driver... It worked fine. But the driver wasn't properly "stuck" in the computer and when I was putting a MIcrophone wire in the driver, the driver deslocated. Big deal (i thought) but i tried to put it again and didn't worked, I uninstalled and re-installed the driver and it didn't work again, I even re-installed windows XP but the Computer doesn't detect the audio driver... Can anyone help me with this...please?

try removing the soundblaster card and reinstalling it ,make sure you replace the hold down screw for the card ,reboot windows it should detect it

so i have to switch the red thing in the back to make it restart and run.

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

ok well i was able to order some restore disks for my other computer. is it possible to switch the RAM out of that computer into the one I'm using now??

only if its the same type ,and i have know idea if they are the same ,as there are many different types ,and im not talking about brand name .

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

ok I know how to get the BIOS screen and all that but will changing the amount of RAM the video card uses cause any type of problems or for it's performance to degrade?

Yes ,the more ram the better you video will be .You should buy another 512 stick of ram and have it installed

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

So there's no way to like 'disbable' the shared memory featured or do something to get the RAM back? If it's not then I guess I'll just have to upgrade

You can change the amount of ram used by the video in the BIOS/Setup of the computer ,by entering the bios when you boot the computer .and making the desired change to the video section of the bios .

I am critically low on disk space and for some reason bear share has grown to a huge number of mbs.

Imagin a file sharing program growning!! within the bearshare folder is a Shared folder where everything you download goes empty it .
also you may need to reinstall bearshare to uninstall it properly .

it just shows the regular system specs with it saying i have 368 MB of RAM. How can I find out if I have onboard video?

right click on blank area of your desktop/properties /settings /advanced /adapter .it should tell you hetre if its onboard or internal type .and how much ram it is /or sharing

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

lol well turns out that the computer techs couldn't fix it so my dad bought a new one. I just have a quick question. On the box it says that this PC has 512 MB of RAM, but my system specs says I only have 368 MB of RAM. Anybody know why this is? And I just want to thank everybody who helped me through this situation.

when you right click on mycomputer go to properties ,what does it show there ,it could be you have onboard video, it will be sharing you ram.

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

If this doesn't fix the problem then I'm just gonna buy a new PC, which is the last thing I want to do.

LOL,worse case would be all you would need to do is buy a new hard drive !! and install windows on it .not a new computer

I was really amazed to see that you are amazed to see that such programs excist !! the internet is full of them and has been for years .could you please tell us how much this program cost you .

now i have a IOGear and it doesn't make any difference what one is what !!!

http://www.daniweb.com/techtalkforums/forum1.html

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

Rusty?! Oil thyself! :D

The only obvious sign of nasties that I see in the log is:
O23 - Service: Microsoft Networks DN (msndn) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\msndn.exe (file missing)

msndn.exe is a component of one of the SDBOT variants. ewido can detect and clean the file (and it looks like it may have already), but you might need to manually disable and then delete the "Microsoft Networks DN" service.

yup ,put a bit of oil on and cleand it all thanks .!!

Also did you check the recycle bin for it .

in the fourm on that site they say there are problems such as these listed in one post .
All issues seem to be corrected now. For what they exactly were, here is a list.

1.) A server went down
2.) For many they could not reach their or others user pages (Internal Server Errors replaced these pages)
3.) Comments went missing on many things, deviations, replies to users, new posts, etc, for some this was temporary and for others this lasted several hours
4.) deviantWATCH erased

I apologize that i did not list these sooner, however errors were popping up so fast I could not keep track of all. :f

the easiest thing to do is slave your drive in another working computer and remove data to the drive in other computer ,good to have burner in other computer.
i have used http://www.knoppix.org/ live cd and a thumb drive to remove small amounts of data ,you can also use it with a usb harddrive instead of thumb drive .

Now if i'm correct I heared if it get's too hot it will shut off the computer. That's why I am not worried to much about the processor.

well you should be worried ,if you have been running it without a fan you may have fried the chip ,hard to say excatually what is wrong ,i suggest getting a computer repair tech to look at it for you

unhook the unused drives until you get windows installed ,make sure you format the drive and start over with the install ,also you never did say if you put out the 40$ and bought the right ram!!

could be a power problem ,not getting enough power will cause this ,can you try another power supply,as for the overheating if there are settings in bios to shut down when it overheats it will shut down ,if not it will fry cpu before it shuts down !!

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

Well I thought it was so i hooked it up to my computer speaker

if the amp is hooked to a set of speakers it will work ,but not to the speaker of the computer to the soundcard where the computer speakers are plugged in,if you only have 3 plug in on the sound card you will need to unplug the computer speakers ,and using a audio cable from the computer to the amp plug it into the green conection of the siound card ,or if you have 4 plugs[5 and 1 's] on the card you can plug the cable into the black plug on the sound card ,you will need a cable to plug between the card and the reciever and you will need to make sure the computers speakers are set to 4 speakers or 5 and 1 in the sound settings in control panel /
