No, the one I tried to install is sp28911.

It shows 2 network cards installed - 1394 Net Adapter, and the Realtek RTL8139.... Other devices: multimedia audio connections, network controller, PCI FlASH Memory, PCI Modem, Video Controller (VGA Compatible)

if you have rtl8139 why did you install the sp28911 driver .try the one i linked .and the 1394 net adapter is a firewire connection

P.S.: board supports dual channel

but for dual channel to work both chips have to be same ,a matching pair .so adding a 2 gig with the 512 ,it will only function in single Chanel mode ,it looks like the board takes 2x2 to = 4gig ,this would work in dual Chanel.
and no it will not burn out the ram if you try a 2 gig stick in the slot .if not supported it will just either not boot or boot but not register the ram as working

Hi ive tried your fix and it keeps installing a corrupted usb controller device. The device corrupted using a lenovo fingerprint reader that was factory installed. Forget trying to get the company to fix it, they can't (on going problem 2 yrs). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh, I had the problem with xp and when I installed window 7 it worked about a dozen times and is now corrupted. Hellllllllllp.

go to.start/ control panel /programs, and uninstall the adobe updater ,

set windows updates to notify me but don't download updates ,then when notified do a custom and un-check the ones' you don't want ,and then tell it not to show this update again !works for me .

also go start /run /msconfig ,check startup in msconfig and make sure that no up-daters are running

Yes I know now that it overheats I opened the case(Also cleaned the dust) and put a wind blower next to hit so it cools it down and I can play now.. Without my own wind blower next to computer the games crash.

i wold take it to shop nad get them to checkit out and aybe put some thermal paste on the cards chipset

shutdown computer ,take the side off the tower and check for dust buildup on the video cards fan/heatsinc ,if dusty cleans it with a small brush or vacum,leave it off to see if it helps to cool it a bit

Well I put it on now and watched some episodes in media player and in like 3 minutes it crashed. Min temp 81 celsius and max 83..

that seems high .should be around 40c-60c ,overheating coud be your problem

install and run the program i mentioned in post #4,it will record the video cards temp when it crashes ,it may be getting hot

put win7 dvd in the dvd drive and reboot computer ,booting to dvd drive and just simply follow the prompts .its that easy

its not just Hotmail ,what ever one you use will eventually do the same thing .
one should have a good legit email address from there ISP [internet service provider ] and use that for personal email , using outlook expres or windows live mail , and have a hotmail acct to used for signing up to help forums nad any other website that ask for one a email address.and then you just have to manage you junk e-mail ,have hotmail set up more secure so as to only recieve mail from people in you address book and such ,good luck

i would check card to make sure it isn't getting hot,make sure fan and heatsinc are clear of dust .i would remove it and replace it to make sure good connection is being made ,i would use hardware monitor to check and watch temp.it free and easy

no,this will not slow computer ,unless media player is opening on startup and playing the music ,if you value your music you should back it up to dvd disk's

what I do when a person has no recovery disk for there Dell [or any other customer with no windows disks]is just use a copy of a non oem disk,what ever version of windows they have ,only downside is you have to go to Dell site using there service tag and get all the drivers ,upside you don't get all the Dell shit and 60 day trials of this and that crap .
