processor will over heat ans auto shutdown if heatsinc is not install correctly ,and snug and tight by the fan heatsinc clamps not you hand .

psu can over heat as well, as inside it has many the same components as a computer motherboard and if capasitors are bad it will heat up and turn off as well !

Hi All - I'm Brent from New Zealand. Recently I had to get a new hard drive because of a fault. Im running windows xp Prof with 80GB Hard Drive and 512 meg Ram.

My supplier who sold me puter is not that helpful and he left when Windows disk almost installed. No problems with installation or with these next 3 disks loaded in this order

Windows XP Service Pack 2
Office XP 2003
Norton Antivirus 2002

what size hdd ,what did you try, to have computer recognize the drive ,did you try windows cd to see it would format it and load windows on it .is drive new,as in never used ??

what kind of keyboard do you have ,is just a basic kb or is it a multimedia keyboard did it come with a driver cd,maybe it need win7 drivers installed if it a Multi media type keyboard

im not positive but i think L1 is 512kb and L2 is up to 6 i think maybe 8 per core on multi core cpus . i think maybe 16 not sure [16meg or maybe even 32meg i think not positiver about that one ] it think even higher on server cpus.

L2 is better[more expencive ,that why you don't see L2 cach on Celeron cps's ] than L1 and always was higher

because its not a zip drive ,nor is it a usb-cdrom or a usb-hdd[hardisk drive ]nor is it a floppy drive [usb fdd].it will not boot to the pen drive ,that one came next maybe a bios update will fix it but you would have to check with manufacture to see if they have one with that fix in it

ok,not much you can do except open the tower and check and make sure the fan on the video card is working ,if it overheating nothing we tell you will change that !
you really need to return it for warrenty

i kinda had the same problem, then it got away and now i can only play a game for about ten minutes and the whole computer crashes and then i have to reeboot.
The card gets really hot when im just browsing on the web, got up to 90 degrees today, and i played crysis no AA at medium settings res: 1024x768 for some minutes and it got up to 110degrees!
and i just checked if i have the latest drivers installed, What can it be?

i had same error message about my video card stopping and restarting ,it never had win7 drivers for the card so iu removed it and just use my onboard video ,im not a gamer so i reall don't know if your card is good enough to play said games .but my suggestion would be to make sure that you are using latest drivers from nvida website for you card .

hi, to the best of my knowledge it will need to be formatted as it will not be NTFS file system on it ,in disk manager when you right click on do it give the option to format it

found the disk i had and it was Hirens Boot cd no sure if the link i provide to hirens has the one with the mini xp ,someone gave me the disk i have ,.that had what is refered to as mini winxp ,and when i boot to i have access to my harddrive and was able to move throught the windows folder and others ,except mydocuments .
so if you know the drivers and where they might be you maybe able to remove them ,not sure it will get you what you are trying to achieve though

having said that i don't recall ever getting it to work for me with a brokem MB,maybe once when the new boards chipset was the same as broken one .
i would think it may be possiable with the lates UBCD/or hirens bcd .i have one here somewhere that has winxp lite on it that may get you in to where you could uninstall chipset drivers and stuff .but only used it once and not sure even what one it is that can boot to live winxp lite ,

Hi, all I do is go to START, RIGHT CLICK My Computer, Click MANAGE. In the next window go down the list to Disk Management (click on it), find your HDD and Right Click on it, click on FORMAT. Thats all there is to it.

that's not all there is, that only works if its a second hard drive working as a slave ,you can't format your hard drive that has windows installed on it from within windows!

giga-byte web site says 4 gig total ,so only way to know fur sure is buy or borrow 2 x2=4 gig and try them.
