What is your OS? I will take your OS as Windows 7.

1) Go to network and sharing center. You can open it from the network icon at the bottom right of your screen or control panel.
2) CLick on setup a new connectio
or network.
3) Choose the first option you see in the new windows tab. That is recommended

Damn it why didn't i think of that earlier. For some android phones after connecting your phone to the computer your phone screen will have three options. 1) Charge your phone 2) Install PC Companion or 3) Connect your phone. Mine is an Xperia Android phone and when i select connect your phone the usb card will show it up on dekstop. Not sure whether it will work on an motorola phone, you can give it a try.

What is there so many computers link to your router? Did you create a private network on something or other people is using your router and internet? You still have not answer my questions.

1) I need to know your internet speed.
2) What router you are staying
3) Which part of Singapore do you live in. Norht, south or central
4) Confirm your download speed again. Do a speed test at http://www.speedtest.net/
5) Go to your router control panel and see anything you have changed before. If not reset everything to default and compare what settings have been changed

Try updating all drivers first. Drivers can be updated from manufacturer websites. Have you spill any liquid on the keyboard. Can an external keyboard work on the laptop.Get one from a friend or someone that has it and plug in the external keyboard into the laptop and see whether can you type anything.

Use malwarebytes to remove any possible surviving malware on the thumb drive. I need to know what is your antivirus software? See this as well

Have you try updating all drivers? Does other disk have this problems too?

Can you try pinging to websites and see whether your internet connection is down. Also check whether you can acess internet by using a router instead of the VPN.

Ping Test

Go to network utility and click on ping. In the box type in daniweb.com or facebook.com and lastly try google.com

The numbers of ping you select 6. It will be enought.

On your mac osx lion tell me what you do the setup the VPN. EVery single steps try to be as as specific as possible.

Addint to lightning hawk advice, it may be cause by a malware or drive problem
1) Go to device manager and check whether your driver is outdated or not properly installed.
